Nehemiah 7

1 When the wall was built, and I put the doors in, and gatekeepers and singers and Levites were put in their service,
2 Then I ordered my brother Hanani and the chief of the Jerusalem fortress Hananiah, for he was more than many others a faithful and God-fearing man,
3 And I said unto them, Let them not open the gates of Jerusalem, till the sun heats up, and while they stand, let them lock and lock the doors. And I set the guards of the inhabitants of Jerusalem, each one on his guard and everyone in front of his house.
4 But the city was spacious and large, and there was little people in it, and the houses were not built.

5 And God set my heart upon the heart to gather the nobles and rulers and the people to make the census. And I found a genealogical census of those who first came, and it says:
6th These are the inhabitants of the country who departed from the captives who were moved by Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, and returned to Jerusalem and Judah, each to their own city.
7th Those who went with Zerubbabel, Jesus, Nehemiah, Azariah, Raamiem, Nahmaniy, Mordecai, Bilshan, Misheref, Bigvam, Nehum, Vaanoyu. The number of people of the people of Israel:
8 The sons of Parosh, two thousand one hundred and seventy-two.
9 The sons of Shephatiah are three hundred and seventy-two.
10 The sons of Arah are six hundred and fifty-two.
eleven The sons of Pahath-moab, of the sons of Jesus and Joab, two thousand eight hundred and eighteen.
12 The children of Elam, a thousand two hundred and fifty-four.
13 The sons of Zaffu eight hundred and forty-five.
14 The sons of Zaccai are seven hundred and sixty.
15 The sons of Binnui are six hundred and forty-eight.
16 The sons of Bebai are six hundred and twenty-eight.
17th The sons of Azgad are two thousand three hundred and twenty-two.
18 The sons of Adonikam are six hundred and sixty-seven.
19 The sons of Bigvaah are two thousand six hundred and seven.
20 The children of Adin are six hundred and fifty-five.
21 The sons of Ater are of the house of Hezekiah ninety-eight.
22 The sons of Hashum are three hundred and twenty-eight.
23 The sons of the Witsey are three hundred and twenty-four.
24 The sons of Harith, a hundred and twelve.
25 The natives of Gibeon are ninety-five.
26th The inhabitants of Bethlehem and Netophah are one hundred and eighty-eight.
27th The inhabitants of Anathoth one hundred and twenty-eight.
28 The inhabitants of Beth-Azmavef are forty-two.
29 The inhabitants of Kirjath-jearim, Kefir, and Beeroth are seven hundred and forty-three.
thirty The inhabitants of Rama and Geva are six hundred and twenty-one.
31 The inhabitants of Michmash are one hundred and twenty-two.
32 The inhabitants of Bethel and Gai are one hundred and twenty-three.
33 The inhabitants of Nevo are another fifty-two.
34 The children of Elam are another thousand and two hundred and fifty-four.
35 The sons of Harim are three hundred and twenty.
36 The natives of Jericho are three hundred and forty-five.
37 The natives of Lod, Hadid and Ono are seven hundred and twenty-one.
38 The natives of Senai are three thousand nine hundred and thirty.
39 The priests, the sons of Jedaiah, from the house of Jesus, nine hundred and seventy-three.
40 The children of Immer are a thousand and fifty-two.
41 The sons of Pashhur are one thousand two hundred forty-seven.
42 The sons of Harim are a thousand and seventeen.
43 Leviticus: the sons of Jesus, from [the house] Kadmiyilov, from the house of the sons of Godeva, seventy-four.
44 Singers: the sons of Asaph, one hundred and forty-eight.
45 The gatekeepers: the sons of Shallum, the sons of Ater, the sons of Talmon, the sons of Akku, the sons of Hatita, the sons of Shovaya - one hundred and thirty-eight.
46 The Nethinim: the sons of Zihi, the sons of Hasupha, the sons of Tabbaoth,
47 The sons of Kyros, the sons of Shea, the sons of Fadon,
48 The sons of Levan, the sons of Hagawa, the sons of Salmai,
49 The sons of Hanan, the sons of Giddel, the sons of Gahar,
50 The sons of Reaiah, the sons of Rezin, the sons of Nekoda,
51 The sons of Gazzam, the sons of Uzza, the sons of Paseah,
52 Sons of Vesai, sons of Meunim, sons of Nephishim,
53 The sons of Bakback, the sons of Hakuf, the sons of Kharhur,
54 The sons of Batsliff, the sons of Mehida, the sons of Harsha,
55 The sons of Barcos, the sons of Sisera, the sons of Famachus,
56 Sons of Neziah, sons of Khatifah.
57 The sons of the slaves of Solomon: the sons of Sotai, the sons of Sophereth, the sons of Ferides,
58 The sons of Jael, the sons of Darkon, the sons of Giddel,
59 The sons of Shephatiah, the sons of Hattil, the sons of Pochereth-Gatsevaiim, the sons of Amon.
60 All the Nethinim and the sons of the slaves of Solomon are three hundred ninety-two.
61 And now they came from Tel-Melakh, Tel-Harsha, Heruv-Addon and Immer; But they could not show about their generation and their tribe, whether they were from Israel.
62 The sons of Delaiah, the sons of Tobiah, the sons of Nekoda, are six hundred and forty-two.
63 And from the priests: the sons of Hawaii, the sons of Gakkots, the sons of Verzelly, who took a wife from the daughters of Verzelly the Gileadite, and began to be called by their name.
64 They searched for the pedigree of their record, and were not found, and therefore expelled from the priesthood.
65 And the Tyrshatha told them that they should not eat a great shrine, until a priest with Urim and Thummim rose up.
66 The whole society was [together] of forty-two thousand three hundred and sixty [men]
67 Except their slaves and their maidservants, who were seven thousand three hundred and thirty-seven; And with them singers and singers two hundred and forty-five.
68 They had seven hundred and thirty-six horses, they had two hundred and forty-five horses,
69 Camels four hundred and thirty-five, donkeys six thousand seven hundred and twenty.
70 Some heads of generations contributed to the production of works. The Tirshatha gave a thousand drachmas, fifty bowls, five hundred and thirty priests' clothes to the treasury.
71 And some of the heads of generations gave in the treasure-house for the production of works twenty thousand drachmas of gold and two thousand two hundred mines of silver.
72 Others of the people gave twenty thousand drachmas of gold and two thousand silver mines and sixty-seven priestly garments.
73 And the priests and the Levites began to live, and the gatekeepers and singers, and the people and the Nethinims, and all Israel in their cities.
