Numbers 11

People complained aloud of the Lord; and the Lord heard, and His anger was kindled, and the fire was kindled in their Lord, and devoured a part of the camp.
And the people cried to Moses; and Moses prayed to the Lord, the fire was quenched.
And he called the name of that place Taberah, because the fire was kindled in their Lord.

That was among them fell a lusting; and with them the children of Israel also wept again, and said, Who shall give us flesh to eat?
We remember the fish which we ate in Egypt freely; the cucumbers, and the melons, and the leeks, and the onions, and the garlic;
But now our soul is dried away; Nothing, beside this manna, before our eyes.
Manna was like coriander seed, and looking as bdellium;
people went about and gathered it, and ground it in mills, or beat it in a mortar, and baked it in pans, and made cakes of it; the taste of it was as the taste of fresh oil.
And when the dew fell on the camp in the night, then I went to him and manna.
Moses heard the people weeping throughout their families, everyone at the door of his tent; and greatly kindled the anger of the Lord, and it was unfortunate for Moses.
eleven And Moses said to the Lord: Why hast thou afflicted thy servant? and why did I not found favor in thy sight, that thou laid upon me the burden of all this people?
Have I conceived all this people? have I begotten them, that thou sayest to me, Carry them in thy bosom, as a nurse carries a child, to the land which You swore to their fathers?
from me [to take] the meat to give to all this people? for they weep unto me, saying, Give us eat meat.
I am not able to bear all this people, because it is too heavy for me;
if thou deal thus with me, [better] kill me, if I have found favor in thy sight, let me not see my wretchedness.

And the Lord said to Moses: Gather unto me seventy men of the elders of Israel, whom thou knowest to be elders of the people, and bring them to the tabernacle of the congregation, that they may stand there with thee;
I will come down and talk with thee there, and I will take of the Spirit that is upon thee, and will put it on them, that they bore the burden of the people with you, and not one you're wearing.
People also say, Sanctify yourselves against to morrow, and ye shall eat flesh; for you have wept aloud, and the Lord said, Who shall give us flesh to eat? It was well with us in Egypt, --to LORD will give you meat, and you shall eat.
more than one day will eat, nor two days, nor five days, neither ten days, nor twenty days;
but a whole month, until it come out at your nostrils, and it be loathsome to you, because you have despised the LORD which is among you, and have wept before him, saying, Why did we come out of Egypt?
And Moses said, six hundred thousand footmen people, among whom I [am]; and thou sayest, I will give them meat, that they may eat a whole month!
slay the flocks and herds, that they should be pretty? or all of the fish of the sea will gather to meet them?
And the LORD said unto Moses, Is the Lord's hand is short? thou shalt see now whether my word to you will come true or not?

Moses came and told the people the words of the Lord, and assembled seventy men of the elders of the people and placed them around the tabernacle.
And the Lord came down in a cloud, and spoke to him, and took of the spirit that was upon him, and gave unto the seventy elders. And when the spirit rested upon them, they prophesied, and did not cease.
Two men remained in the camp, the name of the one was Eldad, and the name of the other Medad; and the Spirit rested on them, and they prophesied in the camp.
And a young man ran and told Moses, and said, Eldad and Medad are prophesying in the camp.
In response to this, Joshua son of Nun, the servant of Moses, one of his favorites, he said: My lord Moses! forbid them.
But Moses said to him: Are you jealous for my sake? Would that all the Lord's people were prophets, that the Lord would put his spirit upon them!
thirty And Moses returned to the camp, he and the elders of Israel.

And there went forth a wind from the Lord, and brought quails from the sea, and let them fall by the camp, a day's journey on one side and a day's journey on the other side of the camp, about two cubits from the ground.
And the people stood up all that day and all night and all the next day, and gathered the quails; and who gathered little, he gathered ten homers; and they spread them all around the camp for themselves.
The meat was still between their teeth, not yet been chewed, the wrath of the Lord was kindled against the people, and the LORD smote the people with a very great plague.
And he called the name of that place Graves of Lust, because there they buried the people that lusted.
From Kibrothhattaavah the people moved to Hazeroth, and stayed at Hazeroth.
