Proverbs 2

My son! If you accept my words and keep with you my commandments,
So that your ear will be attentive to wisdom and you will incline your heart to meditation;
If you call on knowledge and cry out to reason;
If you seek him as silver, and seek him out as a treasure,
Then you will understand the fear of the Lord and you will find knowledge about God.
th For the Lord gives wisdom; Out of his mouth is knowledge and understanding;
th He keeps salvation for the righteous; He is a shield for those who walk in integrity.
He protects the ways of righteousness and protects the path of his saints.
Then you will understand the truth and justice and straightforwardness, every good path.

When wisdom enters your heart, and knowledge will please your soul,
eleven Then discretion will protect you, the mind will guard you,
To save you from the evil way, from the man who says lies,
From those who leave the paths straight to walk in the ways of darkness;
From those who rejoice, do evil, admire evil debauchery,
Whose ways are crooked, and who wander in their paths;
To save you from the wife of another, from a stranger who softens her speech,
th Which left the leader of his youth and forgot the covenant of his God.
Her house leads to death, and her paths to the dead;
None of those who come to her come back and enter the path of life.
Therefore walk in the way of the good and keep the paths of the righteous,
Because the righteous shall dwell in the land, and the upright shall dwell therein;
And the wicked shall be cut off from the earth, and the treacherous shall be exterminated from it.
