Proverbs 22

A good name is better than great wealth, and good glory is better than silver and gold.

The rich and the poor meet with each other: the one and the other created the Lord.

The prudent sees misfortune, and takes cover; But inexperienced people go ahead and are punished.

Humility follows the fear of the Lord, wealth and glory and life.

The thorns and nets on the path of the insidious; Whoever takes care of his soul, have failed from them.

th Teach the young man at the beginning of his journey: he will not turn away from him when he grows old.

th The rich rule over the poor, and the debtor [becomes] the slave of the lender.

He that soweth unrighteousness reapeth mischief, and the cane of his anger is not.

The merciful will bless, because he gives to the poor from his bread.

Run away the scorner, and strife will go away, and quarrel and abuse will stop.

eleven He who loves the purity of the heart, the friendliness on his lips, the king is a friend.

The eyes of the Lord guard knowledge, and the words of the transgressor He overthrows.

The sloth says: "The lion is in the street! In the middle of the square they will kill me! '

A deep abyss is the mouth of harlots: to whom the Lord is angry, he will fall there.

Foolishness is attached to the heart of the young man, but the corrective rod will remove it from him.

Who offends the poor, to increase his wealth, and who gives to the rich, he will become poor.

th Incline your ear, and listen to the words of the wise, and turn your heart to my knowledge;
Because it will be comforting if you keep them in your heart, and they will also be in your mouth.
For your trust in the Lord, I teach you today, and you [remember].
Have I not written to you three times in advice and instruction,
To teach you the exact words of truth, so that you can convey the words of truth to those who send you?

Do not be a robber poor, because he is poor, and do not oppress the unfortunate at the gate,
Because the Lord will intervene in their cause and spoil the soul of their robbers.

Do not be friends with the angry and do not communicate with a person quick-tempered,
So as not to learn his ways and not bring hinges on your soul.

th Do not be of those who give hands and are entrusted for debts:
th If you have nothing to pay, then why bring yourself to take your bed from under you?

Do not move the long-established borders that your fathers have held.

Have you seen a man agile in his business? He will stand before the kings, he will not stand before the simple.
