Proverbs 27

We do not boast about tomorrow, for you do not know that the day may bring forth.

Let another man praise thee, and not thine own mouth, --chuzhoy, and not thine own lips.

Heavy stone, plumb and sand; but a fool's wrath is heavier than both.
Cruel, and anger is outrageous; but who can stand before jealousy?

Open rebuke is better than secret love.
Faithful are the wounds of a friend, and false kisses hating.

The full soul loatheth an honeycomb; but to the hungry soul every bitter thing is sweet.

Like a bird that strays from its nest is a man who has left his place.

Ointment and perfume rejoice the heart; so sweet [every] friend by hearty counsel.
Do not forsake your friend and the friend of your father, and your brother do not go home on the day of thy calamity: better is a neighbor that is near than a brother far off.

eleven Be wise, my son, and make my heart glad; and I'm going to have to answer him that reproacheth me.

A prudent man foresees the evil, and hides himself; but the simple pass on, [and] are punished.

Take his garment that is surety for a stranger, and take a pledge of him.

Who loudly praises his friend early in the morning, it shall be counted a curse to him.

A continual dropping on a rainy day and a contentious woman - are:
who wants to hide it, he wants to hide the wind, and the ointment of his right hand, which bewrayeth itself.

As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens the countenance of his friend.

Who guards the fig tree shall eat the fruit thereof; and who guards his master will be honored.

As in water face - to face, so the heart of man - to man.

Hell and destruction - greediness; so the eyes of man.

The crucible - for silver, and the furnace - for gold, for the human mouth, his praise.

Bray a fool in a mortar with a pestle along with grain, not depart from him his folly.

Look well to thy cattle, bear the care of the herds;
because it [wealth] is not forever, and doth from generation to generation?
Vegetate the grass is green, and gather the mountain herbs.
Sheep - for thy clothing, and the goats - for the purchase of the field.
And goats' milk enough to eat you in the food of thy household, and food for thy maidens.
