(88-24) I will crush his enemies before him, and I will smite those who hate him.
(88-25) My truth and my mercy are with him, and his horn will be exalted in my name.
(88-26) And I will put his hand upon the sea, and on his rivers his right hand.
th (88-27) He will call me: You are my father, my God, and the rock of my salvation.
th (88-28) And I will make him the first-born, above the kings of the earth,

thirty (88-31) If his sons will forsake my law, and walk not according to my commandments;

(88-35) I will not break my covenant, neither will I change that which came out of my mouth.
(88-36) Once I swore by my sanctity, "Will I lie to David?"
(88-37) His seed shall endure for ever, and his throne as the sun before me,
(88-38) will forever be as strong as the moon, and a faithful witness in heaven. "

(88-39) But now thou hast cast off and despised, and is angry with thine anointed;
(88-40) He hath neglected the covenant with thy servant, he hath cast his crown upon the earth;

(88-45) He took away his brilliance and threw his throne to the ground;
(88-46) shortened the days of his youth and covered him with shame.
(88-47) How long, O Lord, will you hide without ceasing, your fierce will burn like fire?
(88-48) Remember what my age is: what fuss have you made for all the sons of men?
(88-49) Who among the people lived - and did not see death, delivered his soul from the hand of the underworld?
(88-50) Where are thy former mercies, O LORD? You swore to David in your truth.
(88-51) Remember, O Lord, the mockery of thy servants, which I carry in my bosom from all the mighty nations;
(88-52) As Thine enemies repudiate, O LORD, how they repay the footsteps of Thine anointed.
Blessed be the Lord forever. Amen, amen.
