The Revelation of John 1

Index Next chapter
The revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave him to show to his servants, which must be soon. And He showed it by sending His angel to His servant John,
Who testified to the word of God and the testimony of Jesus Christ and what he saw.

Blessed is he that readeth and heareth the words of this prophecy, and keep what is written therein; For the time is at hand.
John to the seven churches in Asia: Grace to you and peace from Him who is and who was and who is to come, and from the seven spirits who are before His throne,
And from Jesus Christ, who is a faithful witness, the first-born from the dead and the lord of the kings of the earth. To Him who loved us and washed us from our sins with His own Blood
th And made us kings and priests to God and his Father, glory and power for ever and ever, Amen.
th Behold, he cometh with clouds, and every eye shall see him, and those that pierced him; And all the families of the earth shall mourn over him. She, amen.
I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, says the Lord, who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.

I, John, your brother and accomplice in the tribulation and in the kingdom and in the patience of Jesus Christ, was on an island called Patmos, for the word of God and for the testimony of Jesus Christ.
I was in the spirit of the day of the resurrection, and I heard behind me a loud voice, like a trumpet, which said: I am Alpha and Omega, the First and the Last;
eleven What ye see, write it in a book, and go to the churches that are in Asia: to Ephesus, to Smyrna, and to Pergamos, to Thyatir, and to Sardis, and to Philadelphia, and to Laodicea.
I turned to see whose voice was talking to me; And turning, saw seven golden lamps
And, in the midst of the seven candlesticks, like the Son of Man, clothed in a teardrop and girded with a gold belt around his breast:
His head and hair are white, like a white wave, like snow; And his eyes are as a flame of fire;
And his feet are like fine thorns, as if they were burning in a furnace, and his voice is like the sound of many waters.
He held seven stars in his right hand, and out of his mouth came a sharp sword on both sides; And his face is as the sun shineth in his strength.
th And when I saw Him, I fell at His feet like a dead man. And he laid his right hand upon me, and said unto me, Fear not; I am the First and the Last,
And alive; And was dead, and, behold, he liveth for ever and ever, Amen; And I have the keys of hell and death.
So write down what you saw, and what is, and what will happen after this.
The mystery of the seven stars that you saw in my right hand, and the seven golden candlesticks: this seven stars are the angels of the seven churches; And the seven lamps that you saw are the seven churches.
