Romans 9

I tell the truth in Christ, I do not lie, my conscience shows me in the Holy Spirit,
That great sorrow for me and unceasing torment to my heart:
I would myself be excommunicated from Christ for my brothers, my kindred according to the flesh,
That is, the Israelites to whom the adoption and glory, covenants, and law, and worship, and promises belong;
Them and the fathers, and from them Christ according to the flesh, who is God over all, blessed for ever, Amen.

th But not that the word of God is not fulfilled: for not all are Israel, which are from Israel;
th And not all the children of Abraham, which are of his seed, but it is said: in Isaac shall be called your seed.
That is, not carnal children are the children of God, but the children of promise are recognized for the seed.
And the word of promise is this: at the same time I will come, and Sarah will have a son.
And not this alone; But so it was with Rebekah, when she conceived at one time [two sons] from Isaac, our father.
eleven For when they were not yet born and did nothing good or bad (that God's will in election would take place
Not of works, but of the One calling), it was said to her: the greater one will be enslaved to the lesser,
As it is written: I loved Jacob, but Esau hated.

What shall we say? Is it not true with God? No way.
For he saith unto Moses, Whom whom I will have mercy, I will have mercy; Whom I will regret, I will regret.
So, [pardon] depends not on the one who wants and not on the struggling, but on God's merciful.
th For the Scripture says to Pharaoh, "For this very reason I have set you up, to show my power over you, and that my name may be preached in all the earth."
So, whoever he wants, he pays; And whom he wants, hardens.
You will say to me: "Why else does he blame?" For who will stand against his will? '
And who are you, a person, that you argue with God? The product will say to him who made it: 'Why did you do this to me?'
Does not the potter have power over the clay, so that from the same mixture one vessel can be made for honorable use, and another for a low one?
Well, if God, wanting to show anger and reveal His power, with great long-suffering, spared the vessels of wrath, ready to perish,
That they may together manifest the riches of his glory above the vessels of mercy which he has prepared for glory,
Above us, whom He called not only from the Jews, but also from the Gentiles?

As Hosea also says: My people shall not be called My people, nor beloved by love.
th And in the place where it was said to them, "You are not my people, they will be called the sons of the living God."
th And Isaiah declares concerning Israel: though the children of Israel were numbered as the sand of the sea, the remnant shall be saved;
For the matter ends and soon decides in truth, the Lord will do a decisive action on the earth.
And, as Isaiah predicted: if the Lord of hosts had not left us a seed, then we would have become like Sodom, and would have been like Gomorrah.

thirty What shall we say? Pagans who did not seek righteousness received righteousness, righteousness from faith.
And Israel, who sought the law of righteousness, did not reach the law of righteousness.
Why? Because they [sought] not in faith, but in the works of the law. For they stumbled against a stumbling block,
As it is written, Behold, I lay a stumbling block in Sion, and a stone of offense; But whosoever believeth in Him shall not be ashamed.
