The sons of Reuben and Gad and the half tribe of Manasseh, of valiant men, men able to bear shield and sword, and to shoot with bow, and skilful in war, forty-four thousand seven hundred and sixty going out to war. |

But they transgressed against the God of their fathers, and went a whoring after the gods of the peoples of the land, whom God destroyed before them, |

the God of Israel stirred up the spirit of Pul king of Assyria, and the spirit of Tilgath-pilneser king of Assyria, and he carried the Reubenites and Gadites and the half tribe of Manasseh, and brought them to Halah, and Habor, and Ara, and to the river Gozan, - [where they ] till today. |
