1 Chronicles 9

1 So it was listed by genealogies all Israel, and that they are recorded in the book of the kings of Israel. The Jews and the iniquities of their captive to Babylon.
2 The first inhabitants, who [lived] in their possessions in their cities were, the Israelites, the priests, the Levites, and the Nethinims.
3 In Jerusalem lived some of the sons of Judah and of the children of Benjamin, and of the children of Ephraim and Manasseh:
4 Uthai the son of Ammihud, son of Omri, son of Imri, son of Bani, --iz sons of Perez, son of Judah;
5 of the sons of Shilonites - Asaiah the firstborn and his sons;
6 Of the sons of Zara - Jeuel, and their brethren, --shestsot ninety;
7 of the sons of Benjamin: Sallu the son of Meshullam, son of Hodaviah, son of Hassenuah;
8 and Ivniya, the son of Jeroham, and Elah the son of Uzzi, the son of Mihrieva, and Meshullam the son Shefatii, son of Reuel, the son of Ivnii,
9 and their brethren, according to their generations, nine hundred and fifty-six --All these men were heads of births in their generations.
10 And of the priests: Jedaiah, Jehoiarib, Jachin,
eleven and Azariah son of Hilkiah, son of Meshullam, son of Zadok, son of Meraioth, son of Ahitub, the ruler of the house of God;
12 and Adaiah the son of Jeroham, son of Pashhur, son of Malchijah; and Maasai son Adiela son Iahzera, the son of Meshullam, the son of Meshillemifa, son of Immer;
13 and their brothers, heads of their fathers, a thousand seven hundred and threescore --lyudi excellent in serving in the house of God.

14 And of the Levites: Shemaiah the son of Hashuva, the son of Azrikam, son of Hashabiah, --iz sons of Merari;
15 and Vakbakar, Heresh, Galal, and Mattaniah the son of Micah, son of Zichri, son of Asaph;
16 and Obadiah the son of Shemaiah, son of Galal, son of Jeduthun, and Berechiah the son of Asa, son of Elkanah, who lived in the villages of the Netophathites.
17 And the porters: Shallum, Akkub, Talmon, and Ahiman, and their brethren; Shallum [was] the chief.
18 And until now these gatekeepers at the king's gate to the east, the children of Levi.
19 Shallum the son of Kore, the son of Eviasafa, son of Korah, and his brethren of his kind, the Korhites, in the case of their service, were the guardians of thresholds of the tent, and their fathers had guarded the entrance to the camp of the Lord.
20 Phinehas the son of Eleazar was the ruler over them, and the Lord was with him.
21 Zechariah the son of Meshelemiah [is] gatekeeper at the door of the tent of meeting.
22 All these which were chosen to be porters in the thresholds were two hundred and twelve. They are listed in their villages. They were David and Samuel the seer did ordain them.
23 So they and their children had the oversight of the gates of the LORD's house, in the tabernacle of the house.
24 In four quarters were the porters, toward the east, west, north and south.
25 Their brethren, which were in their villages, were to come from time to time for seven days.
26 For the four chief gatekeepers, and the Levites, were in the power of attorney; They also had the charge of the chambers and the treasures of the house of God.
27 Around the house of God, and they lodged, because to them [lay] outposts, and they had to unlock the door every morning.
28 [Some] of them had the charge of the ministering vessels, that they should bring them in and out by tale.
29 [Another] of them was entrusted with other utensils and all the sacred fine flour, and wine, and oil, and frankincense, and spices.
thirty And from the sons of the priests [some] made the ointment of the spices.
31 Mattithiah of the Levites, the firstborn of Shallum --It Koreyanina, --vvereno were made in the pans.
32 [Some] of their brethren, of the sons of the Kohathites, were [Procurement] bread of the Presence, to present [their] every Saturday.
33 The singers, chief of the Levites in the generations, in the rooms of the temple were free from school for the day and night they had to [deal with] the art of [his].
34 These were the chief of the Levites generations, in their fathers chief. They lived in Jerusalem.

35 In Gibeon lived the father of Gibeon, Jehiel, whose wife was Maacah --imya,
36 and his firstborn son Abdon, [him] Zur, Kish, Baal, Ner, Nadab,
37 Gedor, Ahio, Zechariah and Mikloth.
38 Mikloth begat Shimeama. And they also dwelt with their brethren in Jerusalem with their brethren.
39 Ner fathered Kish, Kish fathered Saul, Saul fathered Jonathan, Malchishua, Abinadab, and Eshbaala.
40 The son of Jonathan was Meribbaal; Meribbaal begat Micah.
41 The sons of Micah: Pithon, Melech, Farey [and Ahaz].
42 Ahaz begat Iaeru; Iaera begat Alemeth, Azmaveth, and Zimri; Zimri begat Moza;
43 Moza begat Bineyu: Rephaiah his son; Eleasa his son; Azel his son.
44 Azel had six sons, and these are their names: Azrikam, Bocheru, Ishmael, Sheariah, Obadiah, and Hanan. These were the sons of Azel.
