And Saul said unto Jonathan his son, and to all his servants, to slay David; But Jonathan the son of Saul loved David very much.
And Jonathan told David, saying, My father Saul seeks to kill you; So beware of it tomorrow; Hide and be in a secret place;
And I will go out and stand beside my father in the field where you will be, and I will talk about you to my father, and what I will see, I will tell you.
And Jonathan spoke kindly of David to Saul his father, and said to him: Let not the king sin against his servant David, for he has not sinned against you in any way, and his deeds are very useful to you;
He put his soul in danger to smite the Philistine, and the Lord made a great salvation for all Israel; You saw [it] and rejoiced; Why then do you want to sin against innocent blood and kill David without a cause?
th And Saul hearkened unto the voice of Jonathan, and Saul swore: As the LORD liveth, [David] shall not die.
th And Jonathan called David, and Jonathan told him all these words, and brought Jonathan David to Saul, and he was with him, as yesterday and the day before.

Again the war began, and David went out, and fought with the Philistines, and inflicted a great defeat upon them, and they fled from him.
And an evil spirit from God attacked Saul, and he sat in his house, and his spear was in his hand, and David played with his hand on the strings.
And Saul sought to nail David with the spear to the wall, but David leaped from Saul, and the spear stuck into the wall; David escaped and escaped that night.

eleven And Saul sent servants into the house of David, to keep him and kill him until morning. And David Michal his wife said to David, "If you do not save your soul that night, tomorrow you will be killed."
And she brought David out of the window, and he went and fled and escaped.
Then Michal took the statue and laid it on the bed, and at the head of it she put goat's skin, and covered it with clothes.
And Saul sent messengers to take David; But [Michal] said: he is sick.
And Saul sent messengers to inspect David, saying, Bring him to me in bed, to kill him.
And the servants came, and, behold, there was a statue on the bed, and the goat's skin at the head of the bed.
th Then Saul said to Michal: Why did you deceive me so and let my enemy escape? And Michal said to Saul, He said to me, Let me go, otherwise I will kill you.

And David fled and escaped, and came to Samuel in Ramah and told him all that Saul had done to him. And he went with Samuel, and they stopped in Naboth.
And they told Saul, saying, Behold, David in Naboth, in Ramah.
And Saul sent messengers to take David, and when they saw a host of prophets prophesying and Samuel ruling over them, the Spirit of God descended upon Saul's servants, and they prophesied.
Saul was informed about this, and he sent other servants, but these also began to prophesy. Then Saul sent the third servants, and they began to prophesy.
Saul himself went to Ramah, and went to a large spring in Sefa, and asked, saying: where are Samuel and David? And they said, Behold, in Naboth, in Ramah.
And he went there to Naboth in Ramah, and the Spirit of God came upon him, and he went and prophesied until he came to Naboth in Rama.
And he also took off his clothes, and prophesied before Samuel, and all that day and that whole night he lay uncircumcised; Therefore they say: Is Saul also in the prophets?
