Then Solomon began to build the house of the LORD at Jerusalem on Mount Moriah, which was shown to David his father, in the place that David had prepared on the threshing floor of Ornan the Jebusite.
And he began to build in the second [day] of the second month, in the fourth year of his reign.
Now these [provisions] Solomon for the building of the house of God: the length of [his] sixty cubits, according to the same extent, and the breadth twenty cubits;
And the porch that was before the house, the length by the width of the house, twenty cubits, and the height was a hundred and twenty. And he overlaid it within with pure gold.
House he sheathed cypress wood and overlaid it with fine gold, and set thereon palm trees and chains.
And he garnished the house with precious stones for beauty; the gold [was] gold Parvaim.
He overlaid also the house, the beams, the thresholds and its walls and its doors with gold, and carved cherubim on the walls.
And he made the most holy place, the length by the breadth of the house twenty cubits, and the breadth thereof twenty cubits; and he covered it with fine gold, to six hundred talents.
The weight of the nails was fifty shekels of gold. The upper chamber is also covered with gold.

And he made the most holy place two cherubim of image work, and overlaid them with gold.
eleven The wings of the cherubim length [was] twenty cubits. One wing was five cubits, reaching to the wall at home, and the other wing was likewise five cubits, reaching to the wing of the other cherub;
[Is], and the wing of the other cherub of five cubits touched the wall at home, and the other wing was five cubits, reaching to the wing of the other cherub.
The wings of these cherubim [were] spread out twenty cubits; and they stood on their feet, and their faces were inward.
And he made the veil of blue, and purple, and scarlet [cloth], and of fine linen, and cherubims thereon.
Also he made before the house two pillars of thirty and five cubits high, and the capital on top of each was five cubits.
And he made chains [as] in the oracle, and put them on top of the pillars, and made a hundred pomegranates, and put them on the chains.
And he set up the pillars before the temple, one on the right side, one on the left, and gave the name of the right Jachin, and the name of the left Boaz.
