And Hezekiah sent all Israel and Judah, and wrote letters to Ephraim and Manasseh, that they should come to the house of the Lord, to Jerusalem, to keep the passover to the LORD God of Israel. |

And the king and his princes, and all the congregation in Jerusalem, laid on the council to make the passover in the second month, |

|
Because they could not perform it in due time, because the priests [were not] sanctified in sufficient numbers, and the people did not gather in Jerusalem. |

|
And it pleased the king and the whole congregation. |
5
|
And they determined to declare all over Israel, from Bath-Sheba to Dan, that they should go to Jerusalem for the Passover to the Lord God of Israel, because they did not do it for a long time, as it is prescribed. |

And the messengers went with letters from the king and from his princes throughout the land of Israel and Judah, and at the commandment of the king they said, "The children of Israel!" Turn to the Lord God of Abraham, Isaac and Israel, and He will return to the remnant that escaped from the hand of the kings of Assyria. |

|
And do not be like your fathers and your brothers, who have committed iniquity before the Lord God of their fathers; And He gave them over to desolation, as you see. |
8
|
Now be not stiffnecked as your fathers, submit yourselves to the Lord, and come into his sanctuary, which he sanctified for ever; And serve the Lord your God, and He will turn away from you the flame of His wrath. |
9
|
When you turn to the Lord, then your brothers and your children will be in the mercy of those who have captivated them and will return to this land, for the Lord your God is good and merciful and will not turn away from you if you turn to Him. |

|
And messengers went from city to city through the land of Ephraim and Manasseh and to Zebulun, but they were laughed at and mocked. |

But some of the tribe of Asher, Manasseh, and Zebulun humbled themselves, and came to Jerusalem. |

|
And over Judah was the hand of God, who gave them one heart, to fulfill the command of the king and princes, according to the word of the Lord.

|
And a multitude of people gathered in Jerusalem to celebrate the feast of unleavened bread, in the second month, a very numerous gathering. |
14
|
And they rose up and overthrew the altars that were in Jerusalem; And all that smoking was committed [idols], destroyed and thrown into the stream of Kidron; |
15
|
And they killed the Passover lamb on the fourteenth day of the second month. The priests and the Levites were ashamed and sanctified, and offered burnt offerings to the house of the Lord, |
16
|
And they stood in their place according to their statutes, according to the law of Moses the man of God. The priests sprinkled the blood [taking it] from the hands of the Levites. |

|
Since there were many in the congregation of those who were not sanctified, instead of unclean Levites, they killed the Passover lamb, to be consecrated to the Lord. |
18
|
Most of the people, for the most part from the tribe of Ephraim and Manasseh, Issachar and Zebulun, were not cleansed; However, they ate Easter, not according to the rules. |
19
|
But Hezekiah prayed for them, saying: Good Lord, forgive everyone who has set his heart to seek the Lord God, the God of his fathers, though without purification of the sacred! |

|
And the LORD heard Hezekiah and forgave the people.

|
And the children of Israel, which were in Jerusalem, carried the feast of unleavened bread seven days, with great gladness; Every day the Levites and priests praised the Lord on instruments designed for the praise of the Lord. |
22
|
And Hezekiah after his heart after all the Levites, who had a good understanding [in the service of] the Lord. And they ate a festive seven days, offering peace offerings, and glorifying the Lord God of their fathers. |
23
|
And the whole assembly decided to celebrate the other seven days, and spent these seven days in gaiety, |
24
|
Because Hezekiah king of Judah set forth a thousand bulls and ten thousand sheep for the congregation, and the grandees set forth a thousand bulls and ten thousand sheep for the congregation; And the priests were consecrated [already] many. |
25
|
And all the people that were gathered from Judah rejoiced, and the priests and the Levites, and all the congregation that came from Israel, and the strangers that came from the land of Israel, and dwelt in Judah. |
26th
|
And there was great joy in Jerusalem, because from the days of Solomon, the son of David, the king of Israel, [like this] has not been like this in Jerusalem. |
27th
|
And the priests and the Levites arose, and blessed the people; And their voice was heard, and their prayer went up to his holy habitation to heaven. |
