2 Timothy 1

1	Paul, by the will of God, the Apostle of Jesus Christ, according to the promise of life in Christ Jesus,
2	Timothy, beloved son: grace, mercy, peace from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord.
3	I thank God, whom I serve from my forefathers with a clear conscience, that I constantly remember you in my prayers day and night,
4	And I wish to see thee, remembering thy tears, that I may be filled with joy,
5	Bringing to mind the unfeigned faith of yours, which formerly dwelt in your grandmother Lois and your mother Eunice; I am sure that she is in you.
6th	For this reason, I remind you to warm up the gift of God that is in you through my laying on of hands;
7th	For God gave us not a spirit of fear, but of power and love and chastity.
8	Therefore, do not be ashamed of the testimony of our Lord Jesus Christ, nor of me, his prisoner; But suffer with the gospel of Christ by the power of God,
9	Who saved us, and called us to be holy, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, given to us in Christ Jesus before the ages of ages,
10	Which was now revealed by the appearance of our Savior Jesus Christ, who destroyed death and revealed life and incorruption through the gospel,
eleven	For which I am ordained a preacher and an apostle and teacher of the Gentiles.
12	For this reason, I suffer so; But I'm not ashamed. For I know in whom I have believed, and I am sure that He is able to keep my bail on that day.
13	Hold fast to the pattern of sound doctrine that you heard from me, with faith and love in Christ Jesus.
14	Keep a good pledge by the Holy Spirit who dwells in us.
15	You know that all of Asia left me; Among them Figell and Ermogen.
16	May the Lord give mercy to the house of Onesiphorus because he has repaired me many times and was not ashamed of my chains,
17th	But, having been in Rome, he searched with great diligence and found me.
18	May the Lord grant him mercy from the Lord on that day; But how much he served me in Ephesus, you know better.
