And Moses went, and spake these words unto all the children of Israel, |
2
|
And he said to them: Now I'm an hundred and twenty years old, I can not go out and come in, and the Lord said to me: "You will not cross this Jordan"; |

The Lord your God Himself will go before you; He will destroy these nations from your presence, and you will master them; Jesus will go before you, as the Lord said; |
4
|
And the Lord will do to them as He did to Sihon and Og, the kings of the Amorites, and to their land, which he destroyed; |
5
|
And the Lord will deliver them to you, and you will do to them according to all the commandments that I commanded you; |
6th
|
Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid; neither be dismayed at them; for the Lord your God will Himself go with you [and] not depart from you nor forsake you. |

And Moses called Jesus, and said to him in the sight of all Israel, "Be strong and of good courage, for you will come with this people to the land that the Lord swore to his fathers to give him, and you will divide it into his inheritance; |
8
|
The Lord Himself will go before you, he will be with you, he will not depart from you and will not leave you, do not be afraid and do not be terrified.

And Moses wrote this law, and gave it to the priests, the sons of Levi, who bear the ark of the covenant of the Lord, and to all the elders of Israel. |

And Moses commanded them, and said: After seven years, in the year of remission, on the feast of tabernacles, |

When all Israel comes to appear before the Lord your God in the place that the Lord will choose, read this law before all Israel in his hearing; |
12
|
Gather the people, the husbands and wives, and the children and your aliens who will be in your homes, that they will listen and learn, and that they will fear the Lord your God, and try to fulfill all the words of this law; |
13
|
And their sons who do not know this, will hear and learn to fear the Lord your God all the days, as long as you live on the land to which you go beyond the Jordan to possess it.

And the LORD said unto Moses, Behold, thy days are nigh unto death; Call on Jesus and stand by the tabernacle of the congregation, and I will give him instructions. And Moses and Jesus came, and stood by the tabernacle of the congregation. |
15
|
And the LORD appeared in the tabernacle in a pillar of cloud, and the pillar of cloud appeared at the door of the tabernacle. |
16
|
And the LORD said unto Moses, Behold, thou shalt sleep with thy fathers: and this people shall go after the strange gods of the land of which he enters, and leave me, and break my covenant that I have set with him; |
17th
|
And my anger shall be kindled against him in that day, and I will leave them and hide my face from them, and he shall be cut off, and many calamities and sorrows shall come upon him, and he shall say on that day: 'Is not this why these calamities have comprehended me, That there is no my God among me? ' |
18
|
And I will hide my face [from him] on that day for all his iniquities, which he will do by turning to other gods. |

So write to yourself this song, and teach it to the children of Israel, and put it in their mouth, that this song may be to me a testimony to the children of Israel; |
20
|
For I will bring them into the land, as I swore to their fathers, where milk and honey flow, and they will eat and be saturated, and become fat, and turn to other gods, and serve them, but they will reject me and break my covenant. |
21
|
And when many evils and sorrows come upon them, then this song will be a witness against them, for it will not come out of their mouths. I know their thoughts, which they have now, before I brought them into the land of which I swore.

And Moses wrote this song in that day, and taught her the children of Israel. |

And the Lord commanded Joshua the son of Nun, and said, Be strong and of good courage, for you will bring the children of Israel into the land of which I swore to them, and I will be with you. |

When Moses wrote all the words of this law to the end in the book, |
25
|
Then Moses commanded the Levites bearing the ark of the covenant of the Lord, saying: |
26th
|
Take this book of the law and put it on the right hand of the ark of the covenant of the Lord your God, and it will be a testimony against you; |
27th
|
For I know your stubbornness and your stiff neck: behold, now that I live with you this day, you are obstinate before the Lord; Is not it even more after my death? |
28
|
Gather to me all the elders of your tribes and your warders, and I will say their words aloud to them, and call heaven and earth for a testimony on them; |
29
|
For I know that after my death you will be corrupted and turn away from the path that I have commanded you, and in the long run you will be troubled because you will do evil in the eyes of the Lord, irritating Him with the works of your hands. |
