Ephesians 1

Index Next chapter

Paul, by the will of God, the Apostle of Jesus Christ, who are in Ephesus holy and faithful in Christ Jesus:
Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavens,
Because He chose us in Him before the creation of the world, that we might be holy and without blame before Him in love,
Having ordained us to be adopted by Jesus through the good pleasure of his will,
th To the praise of the glory of His grace, through which He has made us profitable in the Beloved,
th In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace,
Which He in abundance bestowed upon us in all wisdom and understanding,
Having revealed to us the mystery of His will according to His good pleasure, which He first laid in Him,
In the dispensation of the fulness of times, so that all heavenly and earthly might be united under the head of Christ.
eleven In Him we became heirs, being destined [to that] by the decree of the one who accomplishes all according to the will of his will,
To serve the praise of His glory to us, who previously trusted in Christ.
In Him, when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and believing in Him, are sealed with the promised Holy Spirit,
Which is the pledge of our inheritance, for the redemption of the inheritance, for the praise of his glory.

Therefore, when I heard about your faith in Christ Jesus and about the love of all the saints,
I ceaselessly thank you for [God], remembering you in my prayers,
th That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation for the knowledge of Him,
And enlightened the eyes of your heart, that you may know what is the hope of his calling, and what is the riches of his glorious heritage for the saints,
And how immeasurably great is his power in us, believing according to the action of his mighty power,
Which He worked in Christ, resurrecting Him from the dead and planting Himself at His right hand in Heaven,
Above all Principality, and Power, and Power, and Dominance, and every name that is called not only in this age, but also in the future,
And he put everything under his feet, and placed him above all things, the head of the church,
Which is his body, the fullness of him that filleth all in all.
