1 | Then the king Ahasuerus laid a tribute upon the land and on the sea islands. |
2 | However, all the acts of his power and of his and the declaration of the greatness of Mordecai, whom the king magnified him, are written in the book of the Medes and Persian kings day records |
3 | [As well as the fact] that Mordecai the Jew [was] next unto king Ahasuerus, and great among the Jews, and the multitude of his brethren, [because] seeking the wealth of his people, and speaking peace to all his seed. |
