Genesis 19

1 And the two angels came to Sodom in the evening, when Lot was sitting at the gate of Sodom. Lot saw, and rose to meet them, and bowed his face to the ground
2 And said: "My sovereigns!" Go into your servant's house and spend the night, and wash your feet, and get up in the morning and go your way. But they said: no, we spend the night on the street.
3 He strongly asked them; And they went to him and came to his house. He made them food and baked unleavened bread, and they ate.

4 They did not go to sleep yet, as city residents, Sodomlyans, from young to old, all the people from [all] ends [of the city], surrounded the house
5 And they called Lot to him and said to him: "Where are the people who came to you at night?" Bring them to us; We know them.
6th Lot went out to them at the entrance, and locked the door behind him,
7th And said: My brethren, do not do evil;
8 I have two daughters who have not known my husband; I better bring them to you, do with them, whatever you want, only do not do this to these people, for they came under the roof of my house.
9 But they said: come here. And they said, Behold a stranger, and he will judge? Now we will deal worse with you than with them. And very much proceeded to this man, Lot, and came to break the door.
10 Then the men stretched out their hands and led Lot into his house, and the door was locked;
eleven And the people who were at the entrance to the house were struck blindly, from small to large, so that they were exhausted, looking for the entrance.

12 The men said to Lot: "Who else do you have here?" Son-in-law, whether your sons are your daughters, and whoever you have in the city, take everyone out of this place,
13 For we will destroy this place, because the cry of his inhabitants is great to the Lord, and the Lord sent us to destroy him.
14 And Lot went out, and talked with his sons-in-law, who took for themselves daughters, and said, "Get up, get out of this place, for the Lord will destroy this city." But his sons-in-law thought he was joking.

15 When the dawn dawned, the Angels began to rush Lot, saying: Arise, take your wife and your two daughters who are with you, lest you perish for the iniquities of the city.
16 And as he tarried, the men, by the grace of the Lord, took his wife and his two daughters by the hand, and took him out and set him outside the city.
17th When they brought them out, one of them said: "Save your soul; Do not look back and do not stop anywhere in this neighborhood; Escape to the mountain so that you do not perish.
18 But Lot said to them: No, Lord!
19 Behold, your servant has found favor in your sight, and your mercy is great, which you have done with me, that you have saved my life; But I can not save myself on the mountain, so that misfortune will not overtake me and I will not die;
20 Behold, it is nearer to flee to this city, it is small; I'll run there, but it's small; And my life will be saved.
21 And he said to him, "Behold, I will do it in your favor, and this: I will not overthrow the city of which you speak;
22 Hurry, save yourself there, for I can not do anything until you come there. Therefore this city is called Sigor.
23 The sun rose above the earth, and Lot came to Sigor.

24 And the Lord spilled on Sodom and Gomorrah with sulfur rain and fire from the Lord from heaven,
25 And he overthrew these cities, and all the region round about, and all the inhabitants of these cities, and the growth of the earth.

26th His wife [Lotova] looked behind him, and became a pillar of salt.

27th And Abraham rose early in the morning, and went to the place where he stood before the Lord,
28 And looked to Sodom and Gomorrah and the whole space of the neighborhood and saw: behold, the smoke is rising from the earth like smoke from a furnace.
29 And it came to pass that when God destroyed the cities of this neighborhood, God remembered Abraham and sent Lot out of the midst of the destruction, when he overthrew the cities in which Lot lived.

thirty And Lot went out from Zoar, and he dwelt in sorrow, and with him two daughters, for he was afraid to dwell in Sigora. And he lived in a cave, and with him two daughters.
31 And the eldest daughter said: Our father is old, and there is no man on earth who would come to us according to the custom of the whole earth;
32 Let us make our father drink wine, and we shall sleep with him, and raise up a tribe from our father.
33 And they made their father drink wine that night; And the elder entered and slept with her father: and he did not know when she lay down and when she got up.
34 The next day the eldest said to the younger: here, I slept with my father yesterday; We'll give him wine on that night; And you come in, sleep with him, and raise up a tribe from our father.
35 And they made their father drink wine also on that night; And the younger entered and slept with him; And he did not know when she lay down and when she got up.
36 And the two daughters of Lot were made pregnant from their father,
37 And bore her eldest son, and called his name Moab. He is the father of the Moabites to this day.
38 And the younger also gave birth to a son, and called his name: Ben-Ammi. He is the father of the Ammonites until now.
