Joseph fell on his father's face, and wept over him and kissed him. |

And Joseph commanded his servants - the physicians to embalm his father; and the physicians embalmed Israel. |

And he was full forty days, for so many days, embalmed, and the Egyptians mourned for him seventy days. |

|
When it passed the days of his mourning, Joseph spake unto the house of Pharaoh, saying, If now I have found favor in your eyes, tell Pharaoh: |

My father made me swear, saying, Behold, I die; in my grave which I have dug myself in the land of Canaan, there shalt thou bury me. And now let me go and bury my father, and return. |

And Pharaoh said, Go up and bury your father as he made you swear.
|

|
And Joseph went up to bury his father. And with him went all the servants of Pharaoh, elders of his house, and all the elders of the land of Egypt, |
8
|
and all the house of Joseph, and his brothers, and his father's house. Only the children and their flocks and their herds, they left in the land of Goshen. |

|
With it also went to the chariots and the horsemen, so that the multitude was very great. |
10
|
And they came to Goren-gaatada the Jordan there crying and crying great and very strong; and made [Joseph] mourning for his father seven days. |

And seen the inhabitants of the land, the Canaanites, the mourning in Goren-gaatade, saying, great mourning to the Egyptians! Therefore is called by the name of [the place] that: crying Egyptians, which is beyond Jordan. |

And his sons did [Jacob] with him, as he commanded them; |

|
and his sons carried him into the land of Canaan, and buried him in the cave of the field of Machpelah, which Abraham bought with the field for a possession of a buryingplace of Ephron the Hittite, before Mamre. |

And Joseph returned to Egypt, he and his brethren, and all that went up with him to bury his father, after he had buried his father.

|
And Joseph's brothers saw that their father was dead, and said that Joseph will hate us, and will certainly requite us all the evil which we did to him? |

|
And they sent a message to Joseph, saying, Thy father commanded before his death, saying, |

|
Thus shall ye say unto Joseph, Forgive thy brethren, and their sin, because they did evil to you. And now, forgive the trespass of thy God, the father of slaves. Joseph wept when they spoke to him. |
18
|
They came, and his brethren, and they fell before him, and said, Behold, we are your servants. |
19
|
And Joseph said unto them, Fear not: for I fear God; |
20
|
Now, you meant evil against me; but God meant it for good, to do that now is: to save much people alive; |
21
|
Now therefore fear ye not: I will nourish you and your children. And he comforted them and spoke kindly to them.

|
And Joseph lived in Egypt, he and his father's house; Joseph lived an hundred and ten years. |
23
|
And Joseph saw Ephraim's children of the third generation, also of Machir, son of Manasseh, were born on Joseph's knees. |
24
|
And Joseph said to his brothers, I am dying, but God will surely visit you, and bring you out of this land into the land which I swore to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. |
25
|
And Joseph took an oath of the children of Israel, saying, God will surely visit you, and ye shall carry up my bones from hence. |
26
|
And Joseph died, a hundred and ten years. And they embalmed him and put in a coffin in Egypt. |
