Isaiah 53

Who has believed our message and to whom has the arm of the Lord?
For he grew up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of dry ground; he hath no form nor comeliness; and we have seen him, and it was not in his appearance that we should be attracted to Him.
He was despised and rejected by men, a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid our faces from him; He was despised, and we did not esteem Him.

Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows; and we thought [it] him stricken, smitten by God and afflicted.
But He was wounded for our transgressions, bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace [was] upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed.
All we like sheep, each turned aside to his own way; and the Lord has laid on him the iniquity of us all.
He was oppressed was, but suffered voluntarily and did not open his mouth; as a lamb that is led to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he opened not his mouth.
By oppression and judgment he was taken away; His generation who shall declare? for he was cut off from the land of the living; for the transgression of my people was he stricken.
He was assigned a grave with the wicked, but He was buried with the rich, because they had done no violence, neither was any deceit in his mouth.

But the Lord was pleased to crush Him, putting Him to grief; and when his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, and the will of the Lord shall prosper in his hand.
eleven The travail of his soul he shall see and be satisfied; through his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; and the sins of their iniquities.
Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and with strong will divide the spoil, for what poured out his soul to death, and was numbered with the transgressors, and he bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.
