Joshua 10

When Adonisedec, the king of Jerusalem, heard that Jesus took Gaius and betrayed his curse, and that he did the same with Guy and his king, as he did with Jericho and his king, and that the inhabitants of Gibeon made peace with Israel and remained among them,
Then he was very frightened, because Gibeon was a great city, as one of the royal cities, and more of Gaius, and all his people were brave.
Therefore Adonisedek king of Jerusalem sent to Gogam the king of Hebron, and to Tharam, king of Jarmuth, and to Japhia the king of Lachish, and to Debir king of Eglon, to say:
Come to me and help me to smite Gibeon because he made peace with Jesus and the children of Israel.
They assembled, and the five kings of the Amorites went up: the king of Jerusalem, the king of Hebron, the king of Jarmuth, the king of Lachish, the king of Eglon, they and all their hosts, and pitched near Gibeon to fight against him.
th The men of Gibeon sent to Joshua to the camp of Israel, to Gilgal, saying, "Do not take your hand from your servants; Come to us quickly, save us and give us help; For all the kings of the Amorites that are on the mountains have gathered themselves together against us.

th Jesus went from Gilgal himself, and with him all the people, capable of war, and all the men brave.
And the Lord said to Joshua, Do not be afraid of them, for I have delivered them into your hands: none of them will stand before you.
And Jesus came to them suddenly, [because] he walked all night from Gilgal.
The Lord led them into confusion at the sight of the Israelites, and they struck them in Gibeon with a great defeat, and pursued them on the way to the height of Beth-horon, and struck them to Azek and to Makeda.
eleven When they fled from the Israelites along the slope of Mount Veforon, the Lord threw large stones on them from heaven to Azek, and they died; There were more who died of the hail stones than those who were slain by the sons of Israel with the sword.
Jesus cried to the Lord in the day that the Lord delivered the Amorites into the hands of Israel when he struck them at Gibeon, and they were beaten before the sons of Israel, and said before Israel: "Stand, the sun, over Gibeon, and the moon, over the valley of Aijalon !!
And the sun stopped, and the moon stood as long as the people avenged their enemies. Is not this written in the book of the Righteous: "the sun stood in the midst of heaven and did not hurry to the west for almost the whole day"?
And there was no such day, neither before nor after that in which the Lord listened to the voice of man. For the Lord fought for Israel.

Then Jesus and all Israel returned with him to the camp, to Gilgal.
And those five kings fled and disappeared into the cave in Makeda.
th When it was reported to Jesus and said: "five kings were found, they are hiding in a cave in Makeda"
Jesus said, `Lay the great stones to the opening of the cave, and set the people there to watch over them;
But do not stop, but pursue your enemies and destroy the back of their army and do not let them go to their cities, for the Lord your God has delivered them into your hands. "
After Jesus and the children of Israel completely struck them with a very great defeat, and the remaining of them fled to fortified cities,
All the people returned to the camp to Jesus in Macedon in peace, and no one moved his tongue with the children of Israel.
Then Jesus said: open the hole of the cave and bring to me from the cave five kings of those.
And they did so: they brought to him five kings from the cave: the king of Jerusalem, the king of Hebron, the king of Jarmuth, the king of Lachish, and the king of Eglon.
When they brought these kings to Jesus, Jesus called all the Israelites and said to the leaders of the soldiers who were with him: "Come, step on your feet to the kings of these kings." They went up and stepped on their feet with their feet.
Jesus said to them: Do not be afraid and do not be dismayed, be strong and courageous; For thus shall the LORD do unto all your enemies, with whom ye shall fight.
th Then Jesus smote them and killed them and hung them on five trees; And they hung on the trees until evening.
th When the sun went down, Jesus ordered and removed them from the trees, and threw them into the cave in which they were hiding, and they piled large stones to the opening of the cave [even there] even to this day.

On the same day Jesus took Makked, and smote it with the sword and his king, and betrayed their curse and all the breathing that was in him: he left no one who would have escaped; And he dealt with the king of Macedonia, as he did with the king of Jericho.
And Jesus and all Israel went with him from Makeda to Libnah, and fought against Libnah;
thirty And the Lord delivered her into the hands of Israel and of her king, and Joshua destroyed her with the sword and all that breathed that was in her: he left no one in it, who would have escaped, and acted with his king just as he did with King of Jericho.
From Libnah Jesus went, and all Israel with him to Lachish, and encamped beside him, and fought against him;
And Jehovah delivered Lachish into the hand of Israel; and he took him on the morrow, and smote him with the sword, and all that breathed that was in him, as he did with Livny.
Then Horam came to the aid of Lachish, King Gazer. But Jesus smote him and his people with the [sword] so that no one left him, who would have escaped.
And Jesus and all Israel went with him from Lachish to Eglon, and encamped beside him, and fought against him;
And they took him on the same day, and smote him with the sword, and all the breathing that was in him that day, he betrayed the curse, as he did with Lachish.
And Jesus and all Israel went with him from Eglon to Hebron, and fought against him;
And they took him, and smote him with the sword, and his king, and all his cities, and all that breathed that was in him; He left no one who survived, as he did with Eglon: he betrayed his curse and all the breathing that was in him.
Then Jesus turned and all Israel with him to Davir, and fought against him;
And took him and his king and all his cities, and smote them with the sword, and betrayed all the breathing that was in him: there was no one left who would have survived; As he did with Hebron and his king, he did this to Davir and his king, and as he did to Livny and his king.
And Joshua smote all the land of the highland and the south, and the lowlands, and the land that lay at the mountains, and all their kings: he left no one who survived, and all that was breathing gave to the spell, as the Lord God of Israel commanded;
Jesus smote them from Kadesh-barnea to Gaza, and all the land of Goshen even to Gibeon;
And all these kings and their land Jesus took at one time, for the Lord God of Israel fought for Israel.
Then Jesus and all Israel returned with him to the camp, to Gilgal.
