After this the Lord appointed seventy others, and [the disciples], and sent them two and two before his face into every city and place whither he himself would go,
and I said to them: The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.
Go! I am sending you out like lambs among wolves.
Carry neither purse, nor scrip, nor shoes, and no one on the road is not welcome.
Whatever house you enter, first say, 'Peace to this house;
and if there is a son of peace shall rest upon it your peace; and if not, it shall turn to you.
In the same house remain, eating and drinking such things as they give: for the laborer is worthy of his hire; Do not move from house to house.
And into what city and they receive you, eat what is set before you:
And heal the sick that are therein, and say to them: come nigh unto you the kingdom of God.
If you enter a town and they receive you not, go out into its streets and say:
eleven Even the dust clinging to us from your city, you otryasaem; but know this, that the kingdom of God.
I tell you, more tolerable in that day shall be more tolerable than for that city.
Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! for if in Tyre and Sidon were revealed power done in you, long ago they were sitting in sackcloth and ashes, repented;
but for Tyre and Sidon it will be more on judgment than for you.
And thou, Capernaum, which art exalted unto heaven, shalt be brought down to hell.
Hears you hears me, and he who rejects you rejects me; and rejects me rejects him who sent me.

Seventy [disciples] returned with joy, saying, Lord! and the devils are subject unto us through thy name.
He said to them: I saw Satan fall from heaven like lightning;
Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall hurt you;
Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.
In that hour Jesus rejoiced in spirit and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that You have hidden these things from the wise and understanding and revealed them to babes. Yes, Father, For so it was pleasing in your sight.
And turning to the disciples, and said: All are delivered to me by my Father; and who the Son is no one knows, except the Father, and who the Father is, [knows] [none], except the Son and anyone to whom the Son chooses to reveal him.
And turning to the disciples, and said, Blessed are the eyes which see what you see!
For I tell you that many prophets and kings desired to see what you see and not see, and to hear what you hear, and not heard.

And behold, a certain lawyer stood up, and tempted him, saying, Master! what shall I do to inherit eternal life?
He said to him, the law is written? How do you read?
And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbor as thyself.
[Jesus] said unto him, Thou hast answered right; this do, and thou shalt live.
But he wanted to justify himself, said to Jesus, And who is my neighbor?
thirty Then Jesus said, A certain man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among thieves, which stripped him of his raiment, and wounded him, and departed, leaving him half dead.
On the occasion of a priest was going down that way: and when he saw him, he passed by.
And likewise a Levite, when he was at the place, came and looked, and passed by.
But a certain Samaritan journeyed, came where he was, and when he saw him, he had compassion
and he came and bound up his wounds, pouring on oil and wine; and set him on his own beast, brought him to an inn and took care of him;
And on the morrow when he departed, he took out two denarii, gave them to the innkeeper, and said unto him, Take care of him; and whatever more you spend, when I come again, I will repay you.
Which of these three do you think was neighbor to him who fell among the robbers?
He said that shewed mercy on him. Then said Jesus unto him, Go, and do thou likewise.

In continuation of their way he entered into a certain village; a certain woman named Martha received him into his house;
she had a sister called Mary, which also sat at Jesus' feet and heard his word.
Martha was distracted with much serving, and came and said: My Lord! or do you not care that my sister has left me to serve alone? Tell her to help me.
Jesus answered her, Martha! Martha! thou art careful and troubled about many things,
but one thing is needful; Mary has chosen that good part, which shall not be taken from her.
