Malachi 3

Previous chapter Index Next chapter

Behold, I send my messenger, and he shall prepare the way before me, and suddenly come to his temple the Lord, whom you seek, and the messenger of the covenant, whom ye delight in; behold, he shall come, saith the LORD of hosts.
But who may abide the day of His coming? And who shall stand when he appears? For he - like a refiner's fire and like fuller's soap,
He will sit as a refiner and purifier of silver, and shall purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver, that they sacrifice to the Lord in righteousness.
Then it will be pleasing to the Lord the offering of Judah and Jerusalem, as in the days of old and as in former years.
And I will come to you to judgment; and I will be a swift witness against the sorcerers, and against the adulterers, and against false swearers, and hireling in his wages, the widow, and the fatherless, and that turn aside the stranger, and fear not me, saith the LORD of hosts.
For I - Lord, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.

From the days of your fathers ye are gone away from mine ordinances, and have not kept them; Return to me, and I will return unto you, saith the LORD of hosts. You say, `How shall we return? '
Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. You say, `How have we robbed You? ' In tithes and offerings.
Curse you are cursed, because you - all the people - robbing me.
Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, so that there may be food in My house, and even prove me now herewith, saith Jehovah of hosts: if I open not to you the windows of heaven and pour out for you a blessing?
eleven And I will rebuke the devourer for your fruits of the earth, and the vine in the field, you will not lose its fruit, says the Lord of hosts.
And call you blessed all the nations, because you will be a land of delight, says the Lord of hosts.

Stout against me your words, saith the LORD. You say, `what we say against you? '
You say, `vain to serve God, and what profit is it that we have kept his ordinance, and have walked mournfully before the LORD of hosts?
And now we call the proud happy; they that work iniquity, and they that tempt God are even delivered. "
Then they that feared the Lord spake often one to another, `Lord hearkened, and heard it, and was written before him a memorial book for them that feared the Lord, and that thought upon his name."
And they shall be mine, saith the LORD of hosts, by my in the day that I make, and I will spare them, as a man spares his son who serves him.
And then again discern between the righteous and the wicked, between one who serves God and him that serves him.
