Philippians 4

Previous chapter Index

Therefore, my brethren dearly beloved and longed for, my joy and crown, so stand fast in the Lord, beloved.
I implore Euodia, and beseech Syntyche the same in the Lord.
She, and I ask you, true yoke-fellow, help those women who labored in the gospel with me and with Clement and the rest of my fellow workers, whose names - in the book of life.
Rejoice in the Lord always; and again I say, Rejoice.
Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is near.
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God,
and the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, that in glory, that the only worthy of praise, think on these things.
What have you learned and received and heard and seen in me, do: --and the God of peace will be with you.

But I rejoiced in the Lord that you have revived your concern for me; you and cared before, but you lacked opportunity.
eleven I say this not because I need, for I have learned to be content with what I have.
I am able to live in poverty, I am able to live in abundance; and I learned all around, filled and going hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.
I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
However you did well by taking part in my affliction.
You Philippians know also, that in the beginning of the gospel, when I departed from Macedonia, no church communicated with me as concerning giving and receiving but you alone;
even in Thessalonica you and sent once and again unto my necessity.
[I say this], not because I desire a gift; but I desire fruit that may abound to your account.
I have all, and abound; I am satisfied, having received from Epaphroditus the things sent from you, [a] sweet incense, and the sacrifice, pleasing to God.
But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

God and our Father be glory forever and ever! Amen.
Greet every saint in Christ Jesus. Salute you brethren who are with me.
All the saints salute you, chiefly they that are of Caesar's household.
The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.
