Proverbs 17

1 Better is a piece of dry bread, and with it the world than a house full of slaughtered cattle, with strife.

2 The intelligent slave rules over the dissolute son and divide the inheritance between the brothers.

3 The smelter is for silver, and the crucible is for gold, and the Lord tests the heart.

4 The villain listens to the mouth of the lawless, the liar obeys the language of the evil.

5 He who curses the poor begs his Creator; He who rejoices in misfortune will not remain unpunished.

6th The crown of the old is the sons of sons, and the glory of children is their parents.

7th It is not appropriate for a fool to make an important speech, especially to a noble one - lips lying.

8 A gift is a precious stone in the eyes of the owner of it: wherever he turns, will have time.

9 He who covers a transgression seeks love; But who again reminds him, he removes a friend.

10 On the reasonable, the reprimand acts more than a foolish hundred strokes.

eleven The outlaw seeks only evil; Therefore a cruel angel will be sent against him.

12 It is better to meet a man with a bear, devoid of children, rather than a fool with his stupidity.

13 He who does good for evil repays evil from the house.

14 The beginning of a quarrel is like breaking a water; Leave a quarrel before it flared up.

15 He who justifies the wicked and accuses the righteous is both an abomination to the Lord.

16 What is the treasure in the hands of a fool? For the acquisition of wisdom, [y] [him] there is no reason.

17th A friend loves at all times and, like a brother, will appear in times of adversity.

18 A man of low mind gives his hand and guarantees for his neighbor.

19 He who loves quarrels, loves sin, and who raises his gates high, he seeks a fall.

20 A treacherous heart will not find good, and a crafty tongue will get into trouble.

21 He gave birth to a fool, to him on the mountain, and the father of the fool will not rejoice.

22 A merry heart is good as a medicine, and a dull spirit dries bones.

23 The wicked takes a gift from the bosom to pervert the ways of justice.

24 Wisdom is before the reasonable, and the eyes of the fool are at the end of the earth.

25 A foolish son is an annoyance to his father and grief for his mother.

26th It is not good to blame the right, [and] to beat the nobles for the truth.

27th Reasonable is temperate in his words, and prudent is cold-blooded.
28 And a fool, when he is silent, may seem wise, and shutting his mouth is prudent.
