(101-1) ^^ Prayer of the afflicted, when he is discouraged and against the Lord pours out his grief. ^^ (101-2) Lord! hear my prayer, and let my cry come unto thee.
(101-3) Hide not thy face from me; in my day of trouble, incline thine ear unto me; per day, [when I call unto thee], answer me speedily;
(101-4) for the vanished like smoke, my days and my bones are burned as an hearth;
(101-5) My heart is smitten, and withered like grass; so that I forget to eat my bread;
(101-6) of the voice of my groaning my bones cleave to my flesh.
(101-7) I am like a pelican of the wilderness; I have become like an owl of the desert
(101-8) does not sleep and am as a sparrow alone on the housetop.
(101-9) Every day I revile my enemies, and mad against me are sworn against me.
(101-10) I have eaten ashes like bread, and mingled my drink with weeping,
(101-11) by thine anger and thy wrath: for thou hast lifted me up, and cast me down.
eleven (101-12) My days - like a shadow, and I am withered like grass.

(101-13) But thou, O LORD, remainest for ever, and the memory of you from generation to generation.
(101-14) Thou shalt arise, and have mercy on Zion: for the time to favor her, --ibo time has come;
(101-15) For thy servants take pleasure in her stones, and favor the dust thereof.
(101-16) So shall they fear the name of the peoples of the Lord, and all the kings of the earth - thy glory.
(101-17) For the Lord shall build up Zion, he shall appear in his glory;
(101-18) regard the prayer of the destitute, and not despise their prayer.
(101-19) This shall be written for the kind of future, and the future generation shall praise the LORD,
(101-20) for he looked down from the height of his Lord looks down from heaven on the earth,
(101-21) to hear the groaning of the prisoners that are appointed to death,
(101-22) in order to proclaim the name of the Lord in Zion, and his praise - in Jerusalem,
(101-23), when people are gathered together, and the kingdoms, to serve the Lord.

(101-24) He weakened my strength in the way shortened my days.
(101-25) I said, my God! take me not away in the midst of my days. Thy years are throughout all generations.
(101-26) At the beginning You founded the earth, and the heavens - the work of thy hands;
(101-27) They shall perish, but thou shalt endure; and all of them as a garment become old, and, like a garment, you change them, and change;
(101-28), but you - the same, and thy years shall not fail.
(101-29) The children of thy servants shall continue, and their seed shall be established before thee.
