Psalm 107

O give thanks unto the LORD, for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.
(106-2) Thus, let the redeemed by the Lord say, whom He delivered from the hand of the enemy,
(106-3) and collected from countries, from the east and west, from the north and the sea.
(106-4) They wandered in the wilderness on a deserted road and did not find the inhabited city;
(106-5) They suffered hunger and thirst, their soul melted into them.
th (106-6) But they cried to the Lord in their trouble, and He delivered them from their distresses,
th (106-7) and led them along a straight path so that they would go to a populated city.
Let them praise the LORD for his mercy, and for his wonderful works to the children of men:
(106-9) For He has sated the soul of the thirsty, and filled the hungry soul with blessings.

(106-10) They sat in the darkness and the shadow of death, bound with sorrow and iron;
eleven (106-11) For they did not obey the words of God and neglected the will of the Most High.
He humbled their heart with works; They stumbled, and there was no help.
(106-13) But they cried unto the Lord in their trouble, and he saved them out of their distresses;
He brought them out of the darkness and the shadow of death, and broke their bands.
(106-15) Let them praise the LORD for his mercy, and for his wonderful works to the children of men:
(106-16) For He hath broken the gates of brass, and broken the iron chains.

th (106-17) The foolish have suffered for their wicked ways and for their unrighteousness;
(106-18) Their soul was turned away from all food, and they approached the gates of death.
(106-19) But they cried unto the Lord in their trouble, and he saved them out of their distresses;
(106-20) He sent his word and healed them, and delivered them from their graves.
(106-21) Praise the Lord for His mercy and for His wonderful works for the sons of men!
(106-22) May they offer Him a sacrifice of thanksgiving and may declare His deeds with singing!

(106-23) They that depart on ships in the sea, who do business in great waters,
(106-24) they see the works of the Lord and His wonders in the abyss:
(106-25) He speaks, - and a stormy wind rises up and high waves his:
th (106-26) They go up to the heavens, they descend to the abyss; Their soul melts in distress;
th (106-27) They twist and stagger like drunks, and all their wisdom disappears.
(106-28) But they cried to the Lord in their trouble, and He brought them out of their distress.
(106-29) He transforms the storm into silence, and the waves cease.
thirty (106-30) And they rejoice that they are quiet, and He leads them to the desired pier.
(106-31) Praise the Lord for his mercy and for his wonderful works for the sons of men!
(106-32) Let them exalt him in the congregation of the people, and let them praise him in the assembly of the elders!

(106-33) He turns rivers into a wilderness, and springs of water into dry land,
(106-34) A fertile land - into a solonous one, for the wickedness of those who dwell on it.
He makes the wilderness into a lake, and the dry land into water springs;
(106-36) and settles there hungry, and they build a city for dwelling;
(106-37) sow fields, plant vineyards, which bring them abundant fruits.
(106-38) He blesses them, and they multiply very much, and their livestock does not diminish.
(106-39) They have diminished and fallen from oppression, distress and sorrow,
(106-40) he pours disgrace upon princes and leaves them to wander in the desert where there are no ways.
(106-41) He takes the poor out of distress, and multiplies his race as flocks of sheep.
(106-42) The righteous see this and rejoice, but all ungodliness is blocking their mouths.
(106-43) He who is wise will notice this and will understand the mercy of the Lord.
