Psalm 2

| ^^ A Psalm of David. ^^ Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing? |
| The kings of the earth, and the rulers take counsel together against the Lord and against His Anointed. |
| `Their bands asunder, and cast away their cords." |
| Sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord scoffs at them. |
| Then he will say to them in his wrath, and vex them in his confusion: |
| `I have set my king on Zion, my holy mountain; |
| will declare the decree: the LORD said unto me, Thou art my Son; I begotten thee |
| Ask of me, and I will give the nations for thine inheritance, and the ends of the earth for thy possession |
| Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel. " |
| Be wise now therefore, O kings; learn, judge the earth! |
eleven | Serve the Lord with fear and rejoice with trembling. |
| Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way [your], when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all who take refuge in Him. |
