Foreword

The proposed manual is intended for electrical engineers engaged in the design, installation, inspection or operation of electrical installations.

Which technical solution ensures that all relevant safety regulations are observed? This issue was a fundamental principle in the preparation of the proposed Guide.

The international standards detail the rules that must be followed to ensure the design performance of all types of electrical installations and safety regulations.

Since these standards are detailed and applicable to all types of products and technical solutions in different countries of the world, their texts are quite complex and not presented in a ready-to-use form. Therefore, they can only be considered as a reference document, not a practical guide.

The purpose of this manual is to provide clear and step-by-step explanations for a complete analysis of the electrical installation in accordance with international standards.

The first chapter (B) sets out the methodology that should be used, and in each of the subsequent chapters one of the eight stages of analysis is considered. The last two chapters are dedicated to specific power sources, loads and placements, and additional information is provided in the appendix. Particular attention is paid to the application "Electromagnetic compatibility", which reflects a large practical experience in solving problems of protection from electromagnetic radiation.

We hope that you will find this guide really useful.
