FOR THE FIRST TIME in Russian, a European industry practical guide to the design, installation and operation of electrical installations!

This manual is a single generalizing material, which describes the methods, rules and standards relating to electrical installations. It is intended for electricians working in companies, design offices, inspection organizations, etc.

This manual was prepared on the instructions of the Technical Committee of TC 64 IEC, which, according to the statute of the International Electrotechnical Commission, is entrusted with the function of introducing rules for the safe operation of electrical installations, equipment, products and systems. The creation of this unique reference book was entrusted to engineers by Schneider Electric, which has extensive experience in the installation of electrical installations and is well aware of the problems of consumers and their requirements.

The proposed manual is intended for electrical engineers involved in the design, installation, inspection or operation of electrical installations.

Which technical solution ensures that all relevant safety regulations are observed? This issue was a fundamental principle in the preparation of the proposed Guide.

In the manual, you will not find theoretical reasoning about Foucault currents, convergence, and electron diffusion in a vacuum - here only PRACTICAL ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT of European quality and European security class

Foreword

Roland Talon, Chairman of the TC 64 Technical Committee of the IEC:

It is generally accepted that electrical equipment provides optimum safety, performance and service life, if properly installed.

The task of the TC 64 Technical Committee of IEC is to develop and update the requirements for electrical installations. In addition, the Committee is entrusted with the function of introducing rules for the safe operation of electrical installations, equipment, products and systems. Delegates from many national committees take part in the work of the TC 64 Committee. Many of them are involved from manufacturers of electrical equipment manufacturers, laboratories, inspection bodies, companies engaged in the installation of electrical installations, and electricity supplier companies. As a consequence, Standard IEC 60364 is considered as a basic document in the design and installation of electrical installations.

In addition, the electrical environment is becoming increasingly complex, mainly due to electromagnetic influences and other types of interference, and the main requirement was to ensure the uninterrupted operation of all equipment powered by the electrical installation. As a result, designers, installers and consumers need guidance on the selection and installation of electrical equipment. The manual was prepared by engineers Schneider Electric, who have extensive experience in installing electrical installations and are well aware of the problems of consumers and their requirements.

As Chairman of the TC 64 Committee and former representative of the French electrical companies in this Committee, I consider it an honor to present this handbook and do so with great pleasure. I am sure that it will prove useful in the implementation of the standards of standard 60364 and in solving problems of concern to consumers.
