Standards set the maximum permissible tripping time RCD - 0.3. In fact, modern high-quality performance of the RCD are the order of 20-30 ms. This means that the RCD "fast" switch, so in practice there are situations where the RCD protection device is activated before and disconnects the load currents and overcurrents.
