Terminology associated with the operation of gas systems!
Knowledge of these terms will undoubtedly come in handy when implementing methods, and indeed in life, since you are connected with the operation of devices using natural or liquefied gas.
Gas meter, gas meter, natural gas metering device. Technical device, the main function, which is the accounting for the consumption of natural gas.
Gas system. Simplifying somewhat, we can say that this is a gas pipeline to which special technical devices are connected that regulate the supply of natural gas, keep records of the consumption of natural gas and distribute natural gas.
Gas pipeline. Part of the gas system. The pipeline is designed to transfer natural gas from a natural gas supplier to a consumer.
Counting mechanism. A technical device that works in conjunction with a gas meter accounting mechanism. Its role is to calculate data for gas passed and convert these data into mathematical values that are understandable to the eye (using the dial). Indications are directly taken from him to pay for the substance consumed.
Membrane gas meter. One of the varieties of the most common gas meters. More will be described in the relevant sections.
Rotary gas meter. One of the varieties of the most common gas meters. More will be described in the relevant sections.
Gas consumption devices. Devices and devices in which natural gas is used for work. Basically they are heating (heating) devices.
Gas reducer. A device that controls the release of natural gas from a LPG bottle.
Natural gas. Conventional name for flammable gas that is supplied through a gas pipeline.
Jamming (counter). A certain technical intervention, which leads some parts of the mechanisms to inoperability.
Depressurization. A technical intervention that causes some parts of the gas system to let a specially created environment inside (injected natural gas) into the environment.
Detail. Not a collapsible thing used in technology, which can perform only one specified function in technical mechanisms.
Mechanism. A specific set of parts that collectively perform a specific, given function.
Device. A specific set of technical mechanisms in the aggregate that perform a specific given function.
Fitting There is a special device in the gas pipeline, with the help of which natural gas can be diverted or started from the gas pipeline (see the figure below).
Clamp A device that is worn on a specific section of the gas pipeline. The function of the clamp is to seal the holes in the gas pipeline (see the figure below).
Private sector (in gas consumption terminology). Private property where natural gas is consumed. In addition, natural gas should not be used for commercial purposes (for example, for the manufacture of certain products for sale). If it is used to manufacture certain products for sale, then this sector is called the manufacturing sector. For the manufacturing sector, special rules for the consumption of natural gas apply.
Special clamp (OUR clamp). In addition to the fact that the clamp closes the holes in the gas pipeline, it is still from the hole, natural gas is directed in a certain direction (see the figure below). These clamps are sold in hardware stores and markets.
Left gas pipeline. A gas pipeline designed to use unaccounted gas.
Junction A specific section of the gas system to which certain technical equipment is connected, or another gas system.
Master gasman. A professional (specialist) who specifically studied the rules for the use and repair of gas equipment.
Strip checking services. Organizations that are designed to monitor the consumption and consumption of natural gas.
Gas meter stop. Impact on the meter, as a result of which, natural gas passes unaccounted for through the gas meter.
Braking gas meter. The impact on the meter, as a result of which, natural gas passes through the gas meter is partially taken into account.
Unwind gas meter. The impact on the meter, as a result of which, the gas meter readings change regardless of the passage of gas through it (usually in the direction of decrease).
Seal. A protective device (usually from lead or in the form of a sticker) in the presence of which it is practically impossible to open a certain part of the mechanism without breaking the seals.
Cream. The device with which the filling is performed.
Blank for fillings. A part that, when exposed to an ice cream, turns into a seal.
Device for installing a protective mechanism. It is installed most often on ice cream. In modern seals with an identification number, it is installed directly on the blank for the seal. When using it, the blank for the seal turns into a full seal.
An identification number. A specific number of numbers and letters that is assigned to a particular seal. Theoretically, the repetition of the identification number should not be.
Peripheral device. A device that is outside the scope of a general technical device.
Shaft. Detail through which rotational motion is transmitted.
Gear. A part with which you can transfer rotational motion from one part (for example, gears) to another part.
Special mechanical damage. Damage that was done in a particular mechanism intentionally.
Natural mechanical damage. Damage to the device caused by defective parts installed in it or over time.
Branch pipe. A piece of pipe that is attached at one end to a specific part of the system (for example, pipes are welded to the body of a gas meter), looks like a fitting.
Eight-shaped shaft. One of the parts that are installed in rotary counters.
Sealing ring. It is made of special soft material (for example, rubber). It is intended for sealing gaps that inevitably occur at the junctions of two technical systems, for example, a meter and a gas pipeline.
Minimal consumption of natural gas. One of the periods is the consumption of natural gas by the consumer when it was consumed in the smallest quantities relative to other periods of natural gas consumption.
Outlet of the gas pipeline. A device to which this or that gas consumer can be connected.
LPG bottle. A special tank in which a certain type of natural gas is pumped under high pressure.
Locking device on gas meters. A device inside a gas meter that is designed to block it when trying to force the gas meter to work in the opposite direction.
Compressor and vacuum cleaner. Technical devices that can create a lot of pressure.
Coupling. A special technical device, which, using threaded connections, connect devices or systems to each other.
