Wikimart is an online shopping center where hundreds of stores sell their products to thousands of customers every day. In total on the site wikimart.ru today, on October 7, 2010, there are 450808 products from 2586 stores. Our stores offer products from dozens of countries in more than 20 major product categories. The task of Wikimart is to help our shops to effectively trade on the Internet. Every day we are working to make the process of buying and selling on the Internet simple, convenient and safe.

Wikimart was born on the campus of the Escondido Village of Stanford University, in the heart of Silicon Valley USA. In April 2008, two MBA students at the Stanford Business School, Maxim Faldin and Kamil Kurmakaev, decided to create an online shopping center in Russia. In June 2008, the company began working in Moscow and recruited the first employee - project manager Pavel Makoklyuev.

The company launched a beta version of the wikimart.ru website in February 2009, and from that moment on it officially began to serve buyers and sellers. In May-June 2009, Wikimart attracted a pool of international investors and became a full international company.
