SCHEME OF THE DEVICE FOR EXTENDING THE TERM OF THE SERVICE OF THE LAMPS OF THE INSULATION.

SCHEME OF DEVICE FOR EXTENDING THE LIFE OF THE SERVICE
THE LAMPS OF THE INSULATION

Authors: Father and son Chumakov

This machine reduces current surges through the lighting lamp at the moment of its activation. When the contacts of the switch Q1 are closed, the EL1 lamp begins to glow in the middle, since the current flows through it only during positive half-periods of the mains voltage at the lower, according to the scheme, power wire. During the same negative half-cycles, the capacitor C1 is charged. As soon as the voltage on the capacitor reaches the stabilizing voltage of the zener diode VD2 , the trinistor VS1 opens and the lamp flashes almost into full glow.

SCHEME OF THE DEVICE FOR EXTENDING THE TERM OF THE SERVICE OF THE LAMPS OF THE INSULATION

Fig. 1. Schematic diagram of the device

The parts shown on the diagram are designed for operation of an automaton with a lamp (or lamps) with a power of up to 150 W. For a more powerful load ( 500 - 700 W ), you need to install a VD3 diode with an allowable rectified current of 2 -3 A (for example, KD202L ). The thyristor can not be installed on the radiator.

Set up the machine with the diode VD3 off . Instead of resistor R3, it is desirable to temporarily solder the variable, with a resistance of 15 kΩ or 22 kΩ . A few seconds after turning on the device, the EL1 lamp should light up in the network. If there is no luminescence, the current of the thyristor control electrode is selected by the variable resistor. The voltage across the capacitor is then measured. If it exceeds 50 V , replace the capacitor with another, with a larger rated voltage or install a zener diode with a lower voltage stabilization. After that, connect the diode VD3 and measure the alternating voltage on the lamp. Change it in one direction or another can be selected by resistor R1 , but it is undesirable to significantly reduce the resistance of the resistor in comparison with the one indicated on the diagram, otherwise the preheating time of the lamp thread (it should not be less than 2 s ) is reduced - before the thyristor is turned on.

Notes. If during operation the lamp constantly burns in half-glow, and turns on with a delay, then burned VD3 . This can happen all the time, if there are bad contacts in the chuck or chandelier, and consequently, voltage jumps are critical for VD3 . It is necessary to eliminate the oxidation in the cartridge (it is better to patch the tongues of the cartridge). If the contacts are normal, then diodes with a voltage of 200 V can be used . I have such diodes working since 1997 . After installing the device, the lamp in the bathroom (cold room) began to change once a year or a year. But, if flickering light fits you, it will be easier and more durable to install one diode in series with the lamp. After installing the diode on the landing, the 75W lamp lasted 2.5 years ! If you have an unsuccessful entrance, then I advise you to solder the diode to the lamp and connect the wires to the cartridge, and leave the bare contacts to the printer. It helps from barbarians. Verified! Just be careful yourself.
