Voice recording and playback device
This device, the circuit of which can be downloaded here , is an eight-bit analog-to-digital and digital-to-analog converter with a 256-kbit memory chip that allows you to store up to one minute of a person's voice recording. The heart of this device is the specialized UM5100 chip, which has eight data lines and 15 address lines, one write-play line and a bottom line for confirming data reading from memory in playback mode. For this chip, you can use any static storage device with an eight-bit data bus.
Brief description of the device operation
The first stage of the operational amplifier IC2 serves as a microphone amplifier. The second cascade is a corpator. The third stage is a preamplifier, which provides the addition of delta decoder output signals. The fourth stage is a low-pass filter. The LM386 is a power amplifier. The controller P2 controls the frequency of the internal clock, thereby controlling the duration and quality of the recording. The recording and playback mode is controlled by the closure of the case of the contacts E and L. The record is reset by closing the RSL contact body. In order to reproduce half of the RAM memory, jumper SB2 is set, the entire SB1 memory, if not put sound, will play for an infinitely long time. In order to store two independent phrases in the RAM memory, you need to remove the SA jumper and apply a high or low logic level to the A14 pin and control them. The LED of the recording is LED1.
