Use: The invention relates to a method for treating diseases of the ear, throat, nose along with disinfectant and anti-inflammatory action, activates immunostimulating properties. As an active principle, copper derivatives of chlorophyll from the lipid complex of kelp are used. Water-alcohol solutions and solutions are used in vegetable oil, food additive "Phytolone", concentration 0.003-0.05% active principle. Treatment is carried out by irrigation, instillation, rinsing, turundas for 3 to 7 days depending on the disease.
DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
The invention relates to medicine, namely to methods of treating otolaryngic diseases with the help of medicaments.
Currently, antibiotics, sulfa drugs, furacillin, indole, trypsin, chymotrypsin and the like are used to treat diseases of the ear, throat, nose, such as otitis, tonsillitis, pharyngitis, rhinitis and the like. For example, use turuns with a mixture of carbolic acid with glycerin and antibiotics followed by physiotherapy [1, 2].
The drugs are taken externally (enzyme preparations), orally (sulfa drugs) and combined (antibiotics).
A drawback of the drugs is a significant number of contraindications.
Mumiye / 3 /, propolis and bee honey are widely used for treatment of diseases [4, 5]. In particular, honey is used by electrophoresis or aerosol inhalations. The effect was achieved in 10 to 14 days.
The disadvantage of the method is low efficiency, especially in complicated cases, the possibility of allergies.
The most widespread treatment of diseases by warming up or a combination of warming up with products obtained from medicinal plants, for example, washing the diseased organ with a solution of hemp oil in warm milk [6]. Along with hemp oil, use a solution of hmelin in almond oil, chamomile solutions [7].
Chamomile solutions used for these purposes combine the disinfectant and anti-inflammatory effects of it in the form of a mixture of decoction with vegetable oil, and in the form of various solutions [8, 9].
A method of treating otolaryngic diseases using chamomile solutions, comprising washing the diseased organ or using gauze turundas or napkins impregnated with chamomile solution, is a prototype of the proposed invention [7].
The disadvantage of the prototype is low efficiency, especially in the case of purulent and other complications, which requires the combined use of chamomile with other drugs.
The task before the authors is to find a more effective method of treatment, which, along with disinfectant and anti-inflammatory properties, can activate immunostimulating properties.
To solve the task, we used drugs obtained from kelp (sea cabbage). Currently, laminaria preparations (powder or polysaccharides) "Laminaride" are used in medicine as a laxative when used in a dose of 5-30 g / day as a solution [10].
Along with this, laminarid is prescribed for atherosclerosis, goiter, hyperthyroidism, Graves' disease, prostatitis. There is a significant number of contraindications [11].
In addition, it is shown that copper chlorophyll derivatives derived from laminaria, together with antibiotics, can be used to treat diseases of the rectum such as hemorrhoids, ulcers, fistulas when the drug is administered to the rectum in the form of suppositories, ointments, and the like. [12], as well as varicose veins, edema of the legs [13 - 15].
The use of laminaria preparations for the treatment of otolaryngic diseases consisted in treating patients with a solution in alcohol or vegetable oil containing 0.003-0.05% copper derivatives of chlorophyll of the lipid complex of laminaria (MPH).
In particular, for the treatment of acute external otitis media, acute otitis media and fungal otitis, a water-alcohol solution containing 0.01-0.05% MPX was used, which is injected into the ear 2 times a day for two hours.
In the treatment of tonsillitis, frantitises and catarrhal angina, the pharyngeal mucosa and tonsils were lubricated with 0.003-0.01% aqueous alcohol solution once a day. At the same time, the patient rinsed his throat at least once a day with a water-alcohol solution containing 0.003-0.005% MPX.
In the treatment of acute rhinitis, the patient instilled in the nose a solution containing 0.003-0.005% MPX in water or vegetable oils (sunflower, eucalyptus, etc.).
In the treatment of vasomotor rhinitis and acute sinusitis, irrigation was carried out according to Bohon with a solution containing 0.003-0.005% MPX. Usually, in addition, the same solution was added one to two times a day. Treatment is carried out at least 2-3 times, either daily, or 1 time every 3 days. As a rule, when using this method, patients recover from diseases of the ENT organs within 3-7 days, whereas, when using conventional methods, the treatment period was 10-15 days.
As a preparation containing IPC, a preparation was used at the Department of Natural Compounds of the St.Petersburg State University Chemical Faculty, or "Phytolone" and "Phytolone-M" preparations, produced as a biological supplement to reduce the risk of malignant tumors (hygienic certificate N IPN 11/101 of 10.02.95 of the State Sanitary Inspection of the Russian Federation).
Example 1 . Patient K. turned 10.01.95 in the polyclinic N 40 St. Petersburg with complaints of pain in the throat, intermittent nasal congestion, headache in the parieto-occipital region, weakness. The patient K. considers herself ill from the end of November 1994. In November, she underwent treatment in the hospital for diabetes mellitus, where she was consulted by an otolaryngologist. According to the patient, ENT pathology was not revealed. The patient receives insulin injections for the underlying disease. Upon examination, the following objective data were obtained: a rhinoscopy without singularities, the mucosa of the posterior pharynx wall is hyperemic, a strip of purulent discharge, emerging from the nasopharynx, is visible. Palatine tonsils loose I degree with hyperemic mucosa. The remaining ENT organs without pathological changes. The patient produced a Rg-gram of the paranasal sinuses, which revealed a blackout of the maxillary sinuses. Diagnosis: acute bilateral sinusitis (prolonged course).
From the proposed puncture of the maxillary sinuses the patient refused in connection with the concomitant disease - diabetes. It was decided to conduct treatment with "Phytolone" - an alcohol solution containing 0.04% MPX. The patient underwent irrigation of the nasopharynx according to Bohon in the dilution of the composition with water 1: 5 to 0.008% MPH. Home treatment consisted of instilling a solution of "Phytolone" in the same dilution of 4 drops in both halves of the nose 2 times a day. On the third day of treatment, the patient noted improvement in the general condition: a headache passed, the nasal congestion decreased. Objective data: nasal mucosa of normal color, nasal breathing free. Mucous back of pharynx clean, pink. At a back rinoskopii a purulent separated was not defined. Palatine tonsils of ordinary color, compacted. On the 5th day the course of treatment is over. The patient has no complaints, the ENT status is normal. On the control P-gram of paranasal sinuses a week later no changes were found.
Example 2 . Patient M., 46 years old, turned 8.02.95 to the polyclinic No. 40 S. Petersburg with complaints of a pustula from the left ear, a decrease in hearing during the last 3 days. Injuries were absent, the headache did not disturb. It was noted that the ear hurts since childhood, the last suppuration is 10 years ago.
During the examination, perforation in the antero-lower quadrant was revealed. In the external ear canal pus. Hearing: whisper to the left ear - 1 m., To the right - 4 m. Diagnosis: exacerbation of the chronic leftist. Purulent mesotympanitis. Appointed treatment with the drug Phytolone-M - an alcohol solution containing 0.03-0.05% of copper derivatives of chlorophyll laminaria with the addition of mint flavor. The drug was diluted 1: 1 with physiological saline and injected daily on turundas 2 times a day for 2 hours.
On the 2nd day, the discharge from the ear stopped. In the place of perforation there was a moderate hyperemia and swelling of the mucous membrane of the tympanic cavity.
On the 4th day, hearing was restored to its original level. The perforation has decreased in size. A tympanic membrane of normal color. Dry. The whisper on the left ear is 2.5 m, on the right one - 4 m.
Example 3 . Patient N., 33 years old, turned 21.02.95 to the polyclinic No. 40 S. Petersburg with complaints about periodic pains in the throat, there is a smell from her mouth. The last sore throat 3 years ago.
At survey it is revealed: tonsils of I degree, loose, partially soldered with arches, in lacunae caseous stoppers. The mucosa of the posterior pharyngeal wall is hyperemic in the region of lateral ridges that are thickened. Diagnosed: chronic tonsillitis, chronic lateral pharyngitis.
The treatment was prescribed: washing of the lacunae of the tonsils with "Phytolone" - an alcoholic solution containing 0.04% of MPX and lubrication of the mucosa of the lateral grooves of the pharynx with a 0.008% solution of MPX in vegetable oil (olive), (a drug was used at the KHIMFEK SPbSU daily) 5 days.
On the third day, complaints of pain in the throat and odor were absent. On the fifth day the phenomena of hyperemia and thickening of the lateral ridges of the pharynx disappeared. Tonsils are denser, lacunas are clean.
Example 4 . The table shows the results of treatment of patients using the "Phytolone" composition according to the described scheme for three months: December 1994 - February 1995 in Polyclinic No. 40 of St. Petersburg. A total recovery of 46 patients with acute pathology was noted, an improvement in 8 patients with chronic diseases of the nose and throat, which is 85.2 and 14.8%, respectively. An allergic reaction was not detected. There was also a decrease in asthenization of patients after a viral disease.
