The invention relates to medicine, to dermatology, to methods of treating microbial eczema. On affected areas of the skin, apply an aqueous extract of fish oil in undiluted form once a day for 2-3 days against a background of hyposensitizing therapy. This invention helps to increase the effectiveness of therapy for microbial eczema.
DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
The invention relates to medicine, viz., Dermatovenereology.
In recent years there has been an increase in the number of cases of diseases in the pathogenesis of which the leading role belongs to immune inflammation in the skin against the background of suppression of cellular and humoral immunity. One of the most common skin diseases of this group is microbial eczema, a significant increase in the incidence of which has been registered in recent years both among the adult population and among children.
Microbial eczema differs monovalent sensitization to an infectious agent. Flows sharply, subacute or chronically. Local treatment is carried out depending on the stage of the eczematous process. The acute stage of microbial eczema is characterized by erythema, edema, vesiculation, wetting and the presence of pustules.
The main link in the treatment of microbial eczema in the acute stage is antihistamines, haemodesis, diuretics, and external treatment in the form of lotions with an antiseptic solution, for example a solution of boric acid of 2% or a solution of silver nitrate of 0.25%. The procedure time is 40-60 minutes once a day until the disappearance of inflammation phenomena (Skripkin Yu.K., Kubanova AA Skin and venereal diseases, M., 1995, volume 2, pp. 28-45).
A method for the treatment of microbial eczema is known, when solutions of antiseptics in the form of lotions, for example a 2% solution of boric acid or silver nitrate, are applied outside of hyposensitizing therapy. However, the duration of treatment by this method is 6-7 days, up to 5-7 days there is persistent skin edema, microveiculation, wetting, possibly the development of pustules. In addition, the use of a solution of boric acid or silver nitrate causes unpleasant sensations (burning sensation on the affected area of the skin), it is possible to develop allergic reactions.
The aim of the invention is to increase the effectiveness of therapy for microbial eczema.
The stated goal is achieved by the fact that against the background of treatment with antihistamine drugs, an aqueous extract from fish oil is used (patent RU 19 (11) No. 2043725 (13) F1 (51) RU A23B 4/027) externally by lubricating the affected area once for 2 3 days.
Aqueous extract from fish oil has a high antimicrobial activity (Byvaltseva TM Study of bactericidal properties of water extract from fish lipids as the basis of a food preservative, abstract of Candidate of Biological Sciences, Vladivostok, 1997).
There is no data in the literature on the use of an aqueous extract from fish oil for the external treatment of microbial eczema in the acute stage.
Aqueous extract from fish oil is used undiluted. In the acute stage of the eczematous process, solutions of temperature 4-10 o C (the temperature characteristic for lotions) are used.

External treatment is carried out daily for 2-3 days, lubricating the affected area, once. At the same time, patients receive antihistamines. In this way, 35 people were treated. The group included patients with microbial eczema (see table). Patients noted good tolerability of the procedure. Side effects and complications are not revealed. The analysis of the results of the study showed that against the background of therapy all patients had a recovery. As a rule, the reduction of skin edema and exudation was noted on the following day, hyperemia was resolved on day 2 and epithelization of erosions was observed already on day 3-4. |
Example 1 . Patient S. 57 years old, is on inpatient treatment in 1 department of the City Skin and Venereal Dispensary with the diagnosis: Microbial eczema of the left shin. Eczematids. At admission the patient's left leg is sharply edematous, the skin in the hearth is stagnantly hyperemic. In the outbreak there are multiple vesicles with abundant serous discharge on the surface, single papules, pustules. The treatment was carried out according to the proposed method, namely, treatment with aqueous extract from fish oil was prescribed by lubrication of the affected area.
The next day the mocking stopped, the swelling of the lower leg decreased, on the 2nd day the hyperemia became much pale, the pustular elements disappeared. The papules were practically resolved. On the 3rd day of treatment, the edema completely disappeared, and there is a slight hyperemia of the skin in the focus. With further use of the drug for 2 days, the process was completely resolved.
Example 2 . Patient P., 62 years old. Is on inpatient treatment in 1 department of the City Skin and Venereal Dispensary with the diagnosis: Microbe eczema of the right forearm.
At admission: marked swelling of the right hand and forearm to the elbow joint. The skin in the focus is cyanotic-purple. On the back of the hand, on the flexural surface of the forearm, multiple vesicular rashes with abundant serous discharge on the surface, single pustules. Treatment with aqueous extract from fish oil was carried out by lubricating an inflammatory focus.
The next day the wetting stopped completely, the edema of the forearm disappeared and remained to an insignificant extent on the hand, the hyperemia decreased. On the 2nd day the edema disappeared completely, the hyperemia decreased significantly, thin serous and serous-purulent crusts formed on the site of the resolved vesicle and pustular elements. With the further use of aqueous extract from fish oil, the patient recovered completely within 3 days.
Thus, the results obtained indicate a high efficiency of using an aqueous extract from fish oil for the external treatment of microbial eczema. The use of the drug provides a shorter treatment time, the resolution of the elements of the rash in shorter periods, and the lubrication of the affected area is a convenient form of application in comparison with the traditional forms of external therapy of microbial eczema - lotions.
CLAIM
A method for the treatment of microbial eczema, including hyposensitizing therapy and external treatment, characterized in that for local treatment, an aqueous extract of fish oil is used in undiluted form, once lubricating the affected skin areas within 2-3 days.
