Appearance of the product "ECOTOP" assembly

The device for the vortex mixture "ECOTOP" is designed to improve the mixture formation in the carburetor engines of cars. The device allows you to significantly improve the work of ICE , both new and " experienced " , passed not one lap. It significantly improves the acceleration of the engine, leads to a fuel economy of 10-15% and significantly reduces the toxicity of the exhaust gases of an internal combustion engine (by an order of magnitude). Emission of harmful substances with exhaust gases of motor vehicles of categories M1 and N1 with carburetor engines is reduced, which allows them to ensure that they comply with the environmental requirements of GOST R 41.83 for type "A" tests for the urban driving cycle and the requirements of GOST 17.2.2.03 for the content of carbon monoxide and hydrocarbons At idle speed of the engine. Advantages of the device are manifested to the maximum extent on rear-wheel drive cars.

The material from which the device is manufactured has thermal insulation properties, which prevents the fuel boiling in the carburettor float chamber under the conditions of the car operation at high ambient air temperatures when the engine overheats.

The device is simple and reliable and during the entire service life it does not require any special routine maintenance to keep it in working order.

During the entire life of the ECOTOP device , the condition of the engine, including the carburettor and the ignition system, must meet the requirements of the technical specifications for the vehicle.

Installation procedure:

1. Remove the carburetor from the seat, for this you need to unscrew the fixing screws (studs), having previously detached the air filter.

2. If a standard heat-insulating attachment has already been installed between the carburettor and the flange of the discharge pipeline (collector) - remove it.

3. In the absence of a regular set-top box, immediately proceed to install the device "ECOTOP" . In the front-wheel-drive cars of VAZ, the work boils down to simply replacing the standard thermal extension for this product Ecotope , because the dimensions of these bodies are completely identical.

4. In the rear-wheel drive vehicles of the VAZ family, thinner thermo-insulating gaskets are installed than the thickness of the Ecotope case. Therefore, it is necessary to use elongated studs used in the carburetor assembly of front-drive VAZ cars to install the Ecotope in them. To do this, it is necessary to unscrew the old short studs and screw in the elongated fixing studs (not supplied), fix the device on them and install a sealing gasket on top.

5. The device is installed by the narrow end of the rings-nozzles-down.

6. Reinstall the carburetor in its original position and secure it.

7. If the idle speed of the engine increases with the installation of the device on the car, it is necessary to reduce it with the carburetor screw to the speed corresponding to the requirements of the manufacturer's specifications.

Carefully follow the tightness of the device installation. Do not allow air to penetrate into the joints with the carburettor flanges and the engine intake manifold.

If, when installing the device on the car, the carbon monoxide content in the engine exhaust was initially lower than 0.5%, or the carburetor installed on the car was at the limit of effective depletion of the fuel mixture, and at the same time there is an unstable engine running at idle speed or a driving quality violation (twitching Movement or failures during the acceleration period), it is necessary to increase the degree of enrichment of the carburettor with a screw, and if it is impossible to eliminate the detected defect, it will contact the manufacturer for advice.

When installing the device on the car and every time the adjustment work is carried out on the power supply and ignition systems of the engine, the content of carbon monoxide and hydrocarbons in the exhaust gases of the engine must be monitored at idle conditions in accordance with GOST 17.2.2.03 .

All carburetor machines have a problem with high CO, CH and fuel consumption. On a poor mix the machine does not "pull", but on a rich overrun and bad ecology. Fact. But 97% of carburettors for good work are simply not regulated.

INTERNAL COMBUSTION AND EFFECTIVELY MIXING FUEL WITH AIR

An additional air jet directed at a double angle to the total flow of the fuel mixture through the special nozzle rings swirls it. The nozzle rings were calculated taking into account aerodynamics, and not only do not exert resistance, but also effectively help the flow to obtain the ideal properties of the vortex. The lean and vortex-turned mixture burns very efficiently. In this you will see for yourself, after measuring the ECOTOP setting, you measure the CO and CH indicators and get a noticeable fuel economy in operation. This device passed certification tests in NAMI (Moscow).

The device "ECOTOP" is made of heat-insulating material and is installed instead of the standard insulating under the carburetor for all carburetor machines of the VAZ family.

DESCRIPTION OF THE DEVICE AND ITS PRINCIPLE OF OPERATION

The ECOTOP device is an effective mixer (homogenizer) of fuel mixture components for cars, and provides the best mixing of fuel with air and additionally forms a swirling flow of fuel in the intake manifold and then in the combustion chamber, which is provided by the introduction of an additional air jet for Throttle заслонку the carburettor tangentially to a stream of a fuel air mixture, and further through special rings-atomizers which and are directed tangentially and under the certain angle to a normal of an axial stream of a fuel mix. The vortex thus formed "entrains" the flow of fuel assemblies itself, and a vortex flow of the fuel-air mixture itself takes place.

It is known that in a regular internal combustion engine at idling and with the opening of the throttle valve in the intake manifold, a vacuum is created, under the action of which fuel from the fuel injector flows and crushes fuel in the main air stream passing through the air filter. However, in connection with the almost completely closed throttle valve of the carburetor in this mode of the small-gas engine, the fuel mixture is usually re-enriched and mixed poorly with air, which leads to increased toxicity of the VG and to over-consumption of fuel.

In our case, the additional air flow entering the inlet path, according to the scenario described above, impoverishes it and, at the same time, by creating a vortex flow, ensures its better mixing (homogenization), which leads to a more complete combustion of such a mixture.

The nozzle rings used in the ECOTOP device are specially designed to take into account the aerodynamics of the laminar flow of the fuel mixture in the intake manifold and not only do not exert aerodynamic resistance to the main fuel stream (like other devices such as spacers with blades, propellers, spreaders, and an ordinary hole in the manifold ), But also effectively help him to find mathematically calculated, ideal aerodynamic properties of the vortex flow, which is effectively ignited and burns more fully in the combustion chambers of the engine.

The resulted experimental curve of carbon monoxide CO change before installation of our product and after its installation during operation of the ICE with ECOTOP (lower graph) shows the effect of ideal combustion and smoother operation of the engine. As the practice of operating Ecotopes on ICEs of various brands shows, the acceleration of the engine is significantly increased, which is caused by the significantly improved quality of the fuel mixture in all operating modes of the internal combustion engine , especially in its dynamic modes.
