Echinodorus osiris (Echinodorus osiris)

Distribution South Brazil.
The petiolate is 40 - 70 cm. The plaque is elliptical or narrow-ovoid, 15-25 cm in length, 7-15 cm in width. Under the petiolate plate, the petiole is 10-40 cm; it is very narrowly elliptical, narrow-lanceolate, 10-30 cm long, 3-9 cm wide , Olive-green or brownish-red hue. Edge of the sheet wavy. Has 3 - 5 (7) veins, distinct translucent dots and strokes. Tsvetonos with an inflorescence more than 1 m in length, 6 - 10 whorls. Flowers often do not open, 18 (24) stamens. They are sterile. The number of chromosomes is 2n = 33.
Echinodorus oziris is the recommended plant. Developing under strong illumination, reddish-brown leaves give the tapeworm a decorative appearance that is easy to keep in soft and hard water. Nutrient soil stimulates the formation of a powerful plant. The optimum temperature is 18 - 26 degrees C. Triploid plants do not form seeds, so reproduction is possible with clusters on the inflorescences, and also by dividing the rhizome.
