EYE OF THE TIGER

Semiprecious stones, Gems Characteristics of the mineral.

Fibrous intergrowths of quartz with other minerals are used for making jewelry. Eye stones are cut in the form of cabochons. The tiger's eye is quartz of beautiful golden yellow or golden brown color, with a silky outflow caused by the development of goethite along the oriented inclusions of crocidolite as a result of oxidative processes or the finest channels formed during the leaching of crocidolite and filled with limonite. Goethite (limonite) is iron oxide (Fe2O3) 89.9%, water (H2O) 10.1%, giving the stone a yellow, brown, golden color with silky iridescence (the tiger's eye is actually painted with rusty iron). Beauty is largely determined by the iridescence of these crystals.

In the tiger's eye, crocidolite has already collapsed, the iron entering into it has oxidized to goethite. Therefore, the tiger's eye can be located next to the falcon's eye, forming a rather noticeable and beautiful transition. The most expensive tiger eye has wide light bands with irisation and as few black inclusions as possible. The photo below also shows individual gold shoots of goethite crystals (limonite) with small inclusions of quartz crystals from the Volodarsk-Volynsky pegmatite field, Ukraine.

Magic properties of stones.

If a person dedicates his life to business, then the tiger's eye will help him reach great heights, will protect the owner from dishonest partners, will help to get a big profit from transactions. But such a stone helps only active, independent and purposeful people. If a lazy person wears such a stone as an ornament, then there will be a constant internal struggle in him: the stone will weigh him. As a rule, such people lose these stones over time, because they can not appreciate all their properties. All these stones are endowed with a sufficiently powerful energy potential. Due to this they are considered the best amulet. Powerful amulet, capable of changing a person. In case of danger, it presses on the finger if it is worn in the ring, and if it is a pendant, it becomes noticeably heavier; The beads in this case become as it were tight. In addition, he saves from jealousy, not only in love, but also in the service. The tiger's eye is a talisman of everyone who is somehow connected with trade or commerce: it actively removes competitors. Stone is also a talisman of those who are associated with information and its use.
