VERDELIT

Semiprecious stones, Gems Characteristics of the mineral.

Verdelit is a green variety of tourmaline (ital verde - green and lithos - stone). In a row of jewelry tourmalines lie greenish tourmalines - verdelites. All the colored varieties of tourmalines are united into a single group of the mineral of elbaite. Verdelit - the most common of the noble tourmalines. Green color is imparted to it by admixtures of iron and chromium compounds. The shades of the verdelite can vary from gently herbaceous to dark green. Uneven distribution of impurities often creates a fanciful play of colors in crystals of tourmaline-verdelite. All tourmalines darken and somewhat lose their color under artificial illumination. The most significant deposits of the verdelite are in Brazil (Minas-Novas market town). They also extract the verdelites in California, Namibia and the Urals.

Magical properties.

There is a belief that the Verdelites attract money and success, remove the effects of stress and prostration. The greenish color of the verdelites soothingly acts on the nervous system (like all green stones). These stones can make an optimistic note in the melody of your life.

Poisonous and radioactive dangerous stones and minerals

** - poisonous stones and minerals (mandatory check in the chemical laboratory + explicit indication of toxicity).

** - radioactive stones and minerals (mandatory check on the standard dosimeter + ban on open sales in the case of radioactivity over 24 milli / g / h + additional measures of population protection).

All rare stones are subject to mandatory inspection at the standard dosimeter for the permissible level of radiation and in the chemical laboratory for the absence of poisonous and evaporating components that are dangerous to humans and the environment.
