Its crystals are mostly tetrahedral: often the mineral is found in the form of crusts. Cleavage is perfect along the rhombododecahedron planes. In the fresh state, colorless with a weak yellow tinge, the march under the influence of light and air becomes pink, and then pale-brick-red.
Diagnostic signs.
Without chemical analysis, it is rather difficult to determine this mineral. With a general study, it can be identified by pink fluorescence.
Origin.
The marshite is found in the zones of secondary transformation of copper deposits, in association with its other minerals.
