Map Port WOT Tactics

Map Guide Port.

After the release of update 0.7.5 a new card was waiting for us. The location under the "code" name "Port", which we will consider today. Alas, the card was removed for revision and now everyone is waiting for her return.

Map Port is an industrial zone with a lot of different objects. Dimensions of the map are 830 by 830 meters, the level of fighting from 4 to 11. Both teams start among various structures, warehouses and hangars. The center of the map can be conditionally divided into "green" hilly terrain and railway tracks. It is in this place that the most heated battles unfold. The shortest way to both bases are automobile bridges that pass over the "gland".

All the tankers agreed on one thing: the map was created for CT and TT. Even more for medium tanks, rather than for strings. The fact is that the ground for the CT is simply excellent: concrete and asphalt allow them to simply fly on this map. And it's pretty bold. After all, art does not shoot very much where, it needs to constantly change positions, move from place to place. "In short, some garbage" will say the art workers after the battle. The map is simply replete with small shelters, which for the strings only on the arm. Imagine: you are on T54 on the railway tracks, and here Maus is such because of the corner "Boo-y!". And everything, there was a cockroach and there is no cockroach. Well, let's not talk about sad things. But in general, the map is quite interesting, both in terms of aesthetic and tactical. By the way, as far as tactics are concerned, there is no unanimity. The fighting in Porto is more like a chaotic movement of molecules than a coordinated action. Maybe the thing is that the ST feel pretty impressive here and are being chased all over the map. But there is no concrete tactic. To say that it is difficult to do concrete combat units in Porto. The only thing you can advise:

  1. CT in constant motion, the best position is the bridge, if it is not shot through enemy PT ;
  2. LT shine best through bridges;
  3. Artam of both teams can be advised to take positions in the center of the map, which will cover the enemies that will hide between the cars. Although it's rather risky, but you can try.
  4. TT using small shelters, methodically push through the enemy's defenses through the center.

Here are some simple and quite obvious tips. But since the concrete tactical actions in Porto have not yet been invented by the genius of tank strategy, we will be content with what we have.
