2.Elementy design organization

Designing organization associated with the adoption of its management decisions relating to many areas of the organization activity. In this section we will be mainly discussed solutions concerning such items as:

• division of labor and specialization;

• departamentizatsiya and cooperation;

• Communication between the parts and coordination;

• the scale of control and monitoring;

• hierarchy of the organization and its zvennost;

• the allocation of rights and responsibilities;

• centralization and decentralization;

• differentiation and integration.

Designing the organization can be compared with the construction of "organizational building." The first element in this process is to decide on the number and functional accessory "premises" in this "building", the second solution of the grouping "space" in connection with problems in their use, the third - the decision to connect parts of the "buildings", the fourth - the solution about the size of the parts, etc. (Fig. 7.8).

When designing a building organizational leaders is useful to remember the words of S. Parkinson: "Science has proven that an office building can attain perfection only by the time when the institution is in decline."
