WATER CODE OF THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION

- a systematized legislative act regulating water relations in the territory of the Russian Federation.

The VK RF was put into effect on November 16, 1995.

The preamble of the VK RF states that water is an essential component of the natural environment, renewable,

Limited and vulnerable natural resource, are used and protected in the Russian Federation as the basis for the life and work of the peoples living on its territory, ensure the economic, social, ecological well-being of the population, the existence of the animal and plant world.

VK RF consists of the General and Special Parts, which includes 6 sections.

In the first section "General Provisions" the objectives of the VK RF are formulated, the main concepts used in the VC RF (groundwaters, surface waters, water fund, water regime, etc.), subjects of water

Relations, water relations.

The second section defines the ownership of water objects (state ownership, federal property, ownership of the subjects of the federation), types of contracts for the use of water bodies, etc.

The third section is the state administration in the field of use and protection of water bodies (powers of the RF and the subjects of the Russian Federation, the system of executive authorities of the Russian Federation in the field of use and protection of water objects).

The fourth section is devoted to the use and protection of water bodies, the fifth - to the resolution of disputes and liability for violation of the water legislation of the Russian Federation.

The Special Part (sixth section) covers the use of water bodies (for drinking, domestic water, industry and energy, agriculture, forestry, etc.).
