EXECUTION OF PUNISHMENTS.

Punishment is a measure of state coercion, appointed by a court verdict. The punishment is applied to a person found guilty of a crime and consists in the forfeiture or restriction of the rights and freedoms of that person provided for by the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.

Punishment is applied to restore social justice, as well as to correct the convict and prevent the commission of new crimes.

The grounds for the execution of sentences are a sentence or a ruling or court order that has changed, or entered into legal force, as well as an act of pardon or an amnesty act.

Penalties in the form of a fine or confiscation of property are enforced by the court that issued the verdict, by the court at the location of the property or by the court at the place of work of the convicted person. A person convicted to a fine is obliged to pay a fine within 30 days from the day the sentence enters into legal force. In case of non-payment to convicted persons
