ELECTORAL SYSTEM

- the procedure for organizing and holding elections and determining the results of voting.

In the broad sense of the word, IS is an aggregate of social relations that arise during the conduct of elections between candidates and voters, election commissions and parties, and those related to the procedure for electing representative bodies of power.

Depending on the way of distribution of deputy mandates between candidates, IS is divided from the voting results:

1) the majority system;

2) a proportional system;

3) a mixed system.
