District election commissions

- A collective body, which is formed during elections in single-member and multimember

constituencies.

Her powers can be attributed to the different election commissions.

The term of office OI K. terminated from the day of official publication of the decision on the appointment of the following respective elections.

The number of members of the OI K for elections to the federal bodies of state power of the voting is determined by federal law; on elections to bodies of state power of the subject of the Russian Federation, as well as in local government voting established by the law of the RF subject.

Formed OI K for the election of the election commission of the subject of the Russian Federation on the basis of the proposals of political parties and electoral blocs which nominated lists of candidates admitted to the distribution of seats in the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, the legislative (representative) body of state power of the corresponding subject of the Russian Federation, public associations, as well as proposals of representative bodies of local self-government, the district

Election Commission of the previous composition.

The election commission of the subject of the Russian Federation in the formation of OI K for the election must appoint not less than one-half of the total number of members of the Commission on the basis of proposals received:

1) political parties and electoral blocs which nominated federal lists of candidates admitted to the distribution of seats in the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation;

2) political parties and electoral blocs which nominated lists of candidates admitted to the distribution of seats in the legislative (representative) body of state power of the RF subject.

OI K endowed with the following powers: 1) On the territory of the electoral control over the observance of electoral rights of citizens of the Russian Federation;

2) interacts with public authorities, local self-government in matters relating to the preparation and conduct of elections in the constituency;

3) carries out the registration of candidates;

4) approve the text of the ballot in the constituency;

5) carries out on the territory of the electoral arrangements to ensure a uniform procedure for voting, vote counting, determination of voting results, election results and order the publication of voting results and election results;

6) determine the election results in the electoral district;

7) publish (make public) in the respective media of the election in the electoral district;

8) provides legal, organizational and technical assistance to the subordinate commissions;

9) consider complaints (statements) about decisions and actions (inaction) of lower commissions and decide on these complaints (statements) reasoned decisions;

10) exercise other powers in accordance with the law.
