EXCHANGE OFFICE

- the place of the bank's foreign exchange operations.

In Russia it is prohibited to open OP by non-residents who are not banks, and open outside the territory of the Russian Federation to O.P. residents.

It is acceptable for one bank to apply for registration of more than one O.P. The Territorial Institutions of the Bank of Russia take measures to attract territorial bodies of internal affairs of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation to inspect foreign exchange control bodies. In case of violations, the main territorial administrations of the Bank of Russia send instructions to banks on eliminating violations within a certain period.

The Bank opens OP only at its location in the cash center of the bank and outside the cash register or bank building. OP opens on the basis of an order for the bank.

The order specifies the address of the exchange office, establishes the staff number of the cashiers of the exchange office, specifies the officials of the bank, which are entrusted with the management and control over the activities of the exchange office, the list of operations performed by the exchange office is indicated.

The exchange office should be equipped with a stand that is in a location accessible to visitors and containing the following information and documents:

1) about the rate of purchase and the rate of sale of cash foreign currency and payment documents in foreign currency for cash rubles;

2) the operating mode of the exchange;

3) on the types of currency exchange transactions performed by this OP;

4) on the rules for determining signs of authenticity and payment of banknotes in foreign currency and payment documents in foreign currency;

5) on the commission fee charged by the bank on foreign exchange transactions.

In OP there should be an extract from the order on the bank about the appointment of the person concerned to the post of cashier O. P. This statement is certified by the signature of the bank's head and is sealed by the bank's round seal.

Cashier O. P. - a full-time employee of the bank, an individual is a resident whose main place of business is a bank.

Operational day is the time for customer servicing in O.P. Cashier must carry a document proving his identity with him, and a document evidencing special training for him on how to identify non-genuine banknotes.

Banks are prohibited from opening OP in the premises of another bank, instructing the cashier of the exchange office to perform other duties.

In OP prohibited:

1) purchase or sale of cash foreign currency or payment documents in foreign currency;

2) execution of other currency exchange transactions on behalf of or on behalf of enterprises, institutions and organizations (residents and non-residents).
