POLITICAL PARTY

A public association established for the purpose of the participation of Russian citizens in the political life of the society through the formation and expression of their political will, participation in public and political actions, in elections and referendums, and also in order to represent the interests of citizens in public authorities and local self-government bodies.

The public association receives the status of PP, if it has:

1) regional offices in more than half of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation, and in one subject of the Russian Federation there can only be one regional branch of the party;

2) not less than 10 thousand members of the PC;

3) governing, other bodies of the PP, regional offices and other structural units in the territory of the Russian Federation.

Purposes of the creation of PP:

1) the formation of public opinion;

2) political education and upbringing

Citizens;

3) expressing the opinion of citizens on any issues of public life, bringing it to the attention of the general public and public authorities;

4) nomination of candidates for elections to legislative (representative) bodies of state power and representative bodies of local self-government. PP must pass the state registration, have its own statutes, which specify the name of the party, official symbols, the procedure for acquiring its membership, the governing bodies of the party and other basic information about the party.

PP activities are built in accordance with the following principles:

1) voluntariness;

2) equality of rights;

3) self-government;

4) legality;

5) publicity. It is forbidden:

1) the creation and activities of PP, whose goals or actions are aimed at carrying out extremist activities and inciting racial, national and social struggles;

2) the creation of PP according to the features

Professional, racial, national or religious affiliation, on the grounds of belonging to the same profession;

3) the activities of the PP and its structural units in state authorities and local self-government bodies, in the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, law enforcement and other state bodies, in apparatuses of legislative (representative) bodies of state power, in state organizations;

4) the creation and operation in the territory of the Russian Federation of foreign countries and their structural subdivisions;

5) the activity of the parties in the event of the introduction of an emergency or martial law throughout the territory of the Russian Federation or in its separate areas.
